I don't post often at all but just read this "maybe formula isn't as good as breastmilk" am outraged by this so, so insensitive . Maybe I should go back to lurking.

That's discussed a bit later in the thread annie :) I think everyone's trying very hard to make sure they're not misunderstood, and the post that came out of is a prime example of someone trying to explain their position while being careful of other people's feelings. It's a hard tightrope to walk.

What's good for babies is happy parents who are doing the best for their babies. The thing that's best for specific baby-parent combinations is defined by their specific circumstances and nobody else's business.

tara, how often is DD expressing? She could try every two hours (instead of three, which is what I think is normally suggested). Hot shower or bath should unblock ducts (and maybe help her relax - Radox all the way! ;)) if that's a problem too :)

Massage / compression, and hot showers (I get best results showering about 30 mins before expressing).

I hope I haven't upset you Tara, I seem to spend a lot of time "discussing" things and worry that I'm not good enough at being inoffensive.

Edit: I meant to say about showering before expressing as I find my boobs still start leaking everywhere when I'm in there.

Actually, can I tell a boobie/airport story? (I can't remember if I said it already but I want to say it again). Molly's taken to feeding frantically and then stretching the nipple back and letting go so milk sprays everywhere. She seems to like it hitting her face, weird child, but in the airport on Sunday she did it and I missed her entirely and it went all over the carpet.
