Have you tried PALS? Or asking to be referred to another doctor for a second opinion? I know my mum used to take my brother to the orthoptist at a hospital quite distance away (and in a different NHS trust) because she wasn't happy with our local one.Sweetie, BF is important to you, and you've said before that you'd like to let Toby self-wean when he's ready. If it's a question of medication it might be better for you both to explore Weezl and brother-of-Weezl's kind offer before doing something you can't reverse.
I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but I'm concerned that you may regret it but your supply won't catch back up.
Big hugs, lovely :grouphug:
If I knew the medication would work, it'd be an easier choice. Problem is, it might make me worse, or it might make me better. I might be able to plod along as I am without medication, or I might get worse if I do nothing. I'm not particularly depressed now, I'm not sad or tearful, I'm just angry, touchy and fed up, and I just don't want to do any of this any more.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Feelie - is it because of the medication issue? I am sure you will, but give it careful consideration. BFing is obviously very important to you, but you need to look after your own health too, to be a well rounded mum to Toby. I am sure you will make the right decision. Do you not feel that the medication you are on at the moment is enough/appropriate? (Apologies if I have got this all wrong!)
SS - great news about your hubby.
Also, where do you find so much rubbish? You are always throwing out bags of rubbish and tidying up mess! I am sure there are about 20 people living in your flat!
Karen - I am sorry you aren't getting a good nights sleep. I have a wonderful baby who has slept through pretty much every night from the start, and don't know how I would have coped if she had been waking all the time. She woke up 5 times last night but would sleep fine if I brought her into our bed. This is a first, and I think it's just because she is teething and I gave her the cold! I have total admiration for you as although you don't think you are coping, you sound as if you are doing well in the circumstances. You do always sound like you really love Tegan even though it causes you stress. Hope it improves for you soon. x0 -

It's the husband - he's a hoarder, and the flat is so full of the accumulated crap he acquired before I moved in that Molly's bedroom is still a storage room for it all
Since I moved in I have freed up two rooms for actual using as opposed to storing stuff, insisted on the purchase of a sofa and made enough room for the piano he had in storage to be in the flat with us. But it never ends. Today was pretty epic though - it made a visible difference and I'm much happier. But whenever I start throwing stuff out he gets all shirty if he's here - so I do it when he isn't :rotfl:feelinggood wrote: »If I knew the medication would work, it'd be an easier choice. It must be very frustrating for you not to know what happens next. I think the idea of short-term goals is a good one.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I smallened your quote for easy reading, Tara, and can only suggest a complaint to the NHS Trust while making sure nobody throws her milk away for her. I was BFing from the beginning with ibuprofen 4x daily (OTC strength) and wasn't told of any reason why I shouldn't.
As for the food, she should probably grab a takeaway since it's now out of office hours, and make a formal complaint in the morning.
I'm so sorry this is happening, it must be hard enough for her right now.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

tara - I hope they feel your wrath!
Fitzio - I wonder if your problems with BFing Holly varying from baby to baby or possibly have something to do with shape? I'm just randomly musing here, so tell me to shut up if I'm being insensitive...I also have mahoosive boobies (my nursing bra is HH) but the size hasn't really caused any problems other than making it difficult to remain modest in public! So maybe it wasn't the size at all for her, but something else entirely...not that we'll ever know but I did get concerned after H was born when you reported trouble
. I'll stop rambling now.
mel 0- yay for team pink!!!
Swimming was good, albeit a bit awkward...to me, the pool felt a bit cold and that's eventually why we had to get out (poor Finn's hands were turning blue!). Jenny, I'd give it a so-so rating...good for being close & convenient but prolly not as nice as the one you went to at Christmas by the sound of it. The worst was there was nowhere to set him down in the changing area while I sorted myself out (wound up using towel on the floor) - 1 time I wish I had a pram instead of sling!
