Thanks Sami i will PM you
Amber is giving me guilt-stares. Am i being a bit harsh? Last night she was having a battle with her eyelids, despite me trying to feed her to sleep, winding her so much she almost parted with her eyeballs, cuddle her to sleep etc etc.
She finally fell asleep with me stroking her face in her basket (what she didn't realise was i was stroking her eyelids shut). But for the sake of sanity, i can't do that every night for as many hours :eek:0 -
Oh. Someone posted about a chocolate mint plant and I can't remember who and I wanted to ask what it was exactly.Hello all
Boo for hubbys' going away - DH was on call all last week and was never back before 11.30pm, usually after I'd gone to bed, so hardly saw him all week and it was really hard work being on my own. He's hoovered the stairs and our bedroom today though cos I was moaning I couldn't get it done.
....
Pinkpig, my OH's the same, I hate it when he works late shifts and find it really hard. If he is on an early shift he helps out with chores when he gets home but seems to think that if he is on a late shift he doesn't need to do anything in the morning *confused.* However today he cleaned the kitchen so I can't complain
Yeah! Just booked a holiday to Tenerife, totally blowing the budget but my younger sister and mum are going and had already chosen the hotel. Going in March so hopefully Erin's passport will arrive on time - we just sent it off yesterday . Does anyone have any advice for travelling with a baby on Easy Jet?Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Ooh i had a chocolate mint plant. Got it from Homebase. It's just the same as normal garden mint except it smells like chocolate mint.
My dog ate all my plants though, and now my garden consists of dog poo, and tractor tracks through my lawn thanks to the booby watching blokes in my garden.0 -

Jenny, just thinking, after my last post about how i usually feel like slamming my face into the wall at midnight due to a demanding baby.... What is attachment parenting? Does it mean you don't put her down, like ever? Does she sleep with you etc?0

Carla, posts from tara tonightIt was not ward policy to lend pumps or feed BF mums, but as the website for Bristol Childrens Hospital said it was their policy, and the 2 are linked St.Micheals should have been doing the same, so now they will. The BF co-ordinator didn't know she should have been telling the mums to get free meals, but believe me, she does now!!!
:rotfl:
Good day all round, DD has a pump, cream for her piles, ouchy, lactulose and iron tablets. She's had a check up and blood pressure check as that was high before. And help with the expressing and she got 6x as much today. She also said the lady in the next room was struggling so got her help as well. DGD, Poppie, (DD nicknamed her Poppet) has had her oxygen turned down and has been settled all day, operation booked for tomorrow. DD got to change her 1st nappy and wash her so she was beamimg from ear to ear! There was a Benjamin in the next cot today who was moved to the next room, his Mum was so chuffed as it's a step closer to going home. The baby behind was born with his cord roung his neck, they are doing the cooling temp, to protect his brain but just this afternoon they started to raise it. Although I have never taken my children for granted it is a truly humbling experience to stand on these wards. I am in awe of the doctors and my heart goes out to these parents and those of you that have been through this. It has deeply changed me!!!0 -
The reason I put 'trainee' in my signature is that I'm not the best person to ask on these things! I know that basically attachment parenting is bf, co-sleeping and carrying LO in a sling. In the evenings Erin feeds a lot so I keep her with me and she comes to bed with me and we do a last feed around midnight - just finished tonights - although I sometimes go to bed earlier and found she will still sleep when I do. I carry her around a lot during the day even when she is asleep but do put her down sometimes and quite often if I have carried her a lot in the morning she will be quite content to play by herself in the afternoon. Seems to be working ok at the mo although as the HV said, I have a placid baby!
