Beenie - I had a 6 week check with the HV and had a letter through from NHS to say to make an appointment with my GP but when I phoned my GP they said they would write to me with an appointment!! So just call them to check. I used to be up till 4am in the morning feeding which is really hard and whenever I went to booby group T would sleep!Over Christmas I would express straight after the morning feed and feed her that at night with one of the Breastflow bottles (which T seemed to take to easily) she doesn't seem to like the TT ones but the Breastflow only goes up to 5oz. I would then top her up with breast if necessary.
Tara - thinking of you and your family. Hope we get news of your DGD soon and well done for sorting out the staff there!
MFD - thinking of you too. Hope you see DH soon
MM - hope your first day at work goes well
Sami - hugs I wouldn't like DH to be away for a month
Its snowing here too. I have had to stay away from my usual Monday coffee morning with my RL mum friends because I have a cold really don't want to spread it but love going out for coffee

Good morning.
Can't stop I am afraid but thought I would share something with you.
Yesterday I bumped into a lady from our street when we were out shopping. Her little girl is 6 months older than Benjamin (so 15 months) and we always chat and have a catch up when we see each other (our MW has told us that we would get on!!!)
Her girl is 15 month and walking but will still not crawl or stand up. She has never pulled herself to standing and has never crawled as much as an inch, if put down in one spot, either laying down or sitting down, she will stay still until somebody moves her. Put her on her feet and she will walk around quite confidently but will not just stand still.
To me, with a baby who has been crawling for over 5 months and pulling himself up to standing for 3 months (?) it seems really wierd but mum is not bothered and neither is HV. Baby girl is just as 'normal' as my Benjamin is 'normal', babies just all develop differently.
It just struck me that it was a massive contrast and perhaps we should all take heart that 'normal' is just doing whatever our babies can do, whenever they can do it.
(didn't make much sense when I wrote it down but I really wanted to tell you about it *shrugs shoulders*)
Oh well - I popped Benjamin in his cot this morning whilst I dried my hair and when I went back to get him he had a full-on, massive, green snot moustache AND BEARD :eek: god knows where it all came from - I swear it was a big as his head :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Right, I am childless as despite OH and I having the day off we have sent the Seth Monster to the CM's to enjoy a nice day as a couple, going for lunch and to see Avatar at last! My house is feeling very empty right now so I intend to not be in it until we pick him up later

Sami - my thoughts exactly. Along with how quickly it would be whipped down to the arms if one of us started it...
However...
Hubby is in for at least another day. Too much fluid coming out of him. He says it looks like apple and blackcurrant juice _pale_ He was also in awful pain overnight so had to call for industrial strength painkillers.
He has been taken off his drip though :Tplease listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
