Thanks Elle, she's back to reasonable levels of health again for now although Elijah was very red-cheeked and snotty this morning so maybe he is back on a downward path... fingers crossed...!

I still haven't been told anything about my 6 week check. Who should i ask? HV or GP?

Is that what your appt is on Fri Aless?

I agree, and I'm sorely tempted. At this point, it seems that after what happened before and over Christmas there's little point in taking care of her feelings since she seems to have no regard for mine. But she's also far more passive-aggressive and more likely to hold a grudge and I'm loath to cut ties entirely. I just don't see a way to force-fix the relationship and I'm devastated once again that she'd be so obviously partisan. My grandmother hated my father, but never let it affect her relationship with his kids - but we lived in the same place. It's not the same for us, and if she refuses to respect my husband then she's not welcome here, we won't go there and she won't see Molly.

Jenny, re Easyjet - they don't make allowances for infants any more, so you'll need to buy the baggage allowance. Priority boarding is only any use if there's no bus to the plane - when there's a bus the priority people hop on and get a seat in the bus but are then last into the plane anyway. And they're obliged to let families with children sit together, so if necessary they can move people. The big thing is the space between the seats, but it makes very little difference because an infant can't sit at the emergency exit seats so you just have to all squish up or the two of you choose an empty aisle and sit with a space between you and a ton of baby stuff on it so the seat will only be filled if the flight is full.

I think Easyjet have a bag-size rule - if you can lift it into the overhead locker you can bring it on regardless of weight, so long as it's the appropriate size. I'm not sure what their procedure is with carseats but buggies are gate check.

Morning everyone What a lovely day it is... or something. I'm really sickly-feeling, tempted to actually go to a doctor I'm feeling so rotten. Lots to do today, or at least to try to get done before OH goes to the doctor/back to the hospital. I'm going to make a list. That'll help... if anyone's feeling curious it will be on the organised mums thread shortly

I finally fell asleep at 1:35am, Amber is still asleep. She didn't even wake up when i put her coat on and put her in the car seat. I haven't even done her nappy.

Just having a quick cuppa before shower then booby group. She's going to want a big feed too, think i'll be cutting it fine :eek:

I'm not sure how (assuming you're following guidelines which mention nothing about how long after sterilising it is ok to use a bottle) making a fresh sterilised bottle up and then cooling/warming it to correct temp is more convenient than lifting top and lowering bra though

He was the same as normal No miracles unfortunately and last night has been the worst night in ages! :(:(

He woke up at 3am, really screaming so I settled him and out him in our bed. He then woke at 4.30am and was screaming again - took him downstairs, he took 4ozs of a bottle, changed his nappy and gave him some teething gel. Put him in his cot at 5.30am - slept for an hour before screaming again. Came in our bed, woke at 8.15am screaming again. Has had a while 2ozs of a bottle. Seems happy enough now but I am so worried - we are talking major screaming fits so bad he is going hoarse from crying so much.

Going to put him back on the Stage 1 Comfort milk in case its his tum, start giving him Gripe Water again and drop back to 2 meals a day just pureed fruit and veg and see if that helps.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes for V yesterday. She had a lovely day, lots of new toys and lots of cake. I still can't believe my baby is one! This year has absolutely flown by.

I tried catching up last night, but got reading the FF/BF debate instead. I didn't comment, because I really couldn't care less how anyone chooses to feed their baby - as long as they remember to feed them.
(I did thank some of the more useful posts though!).
I've got one FF baby, and two BF ones - tbh there is no difference in them now - they're all healthy & happy.

MFD How's the [STRIKE]better[/STRIKE] other half doing? And how are you and Benjamin coping without him?

Sami Did I read that OH is away for four weeks? Is that with no weekends home? Where's he going?

morning .. i texted mm and tara but nothing back yet ...

im shattered finally got to sleep at 2am ish then jayden decided to scream his head off at 4-5am fed him then was up at 8am to take zoe and post ebay stuff .. driving instrution just had a family matter come up so had to move my lesson til thursday soooo glad as all i want to do is sleep ..

weezlie so happy for you that you soon put your feet up ... thought of you today my OS goddness went to co-op got some nice whoopies 5 packs of bagels for 35p and 2 more packs of hot cross buns for 25p each ... so saving the bagel for my pack up when i go back to work so that 5 weeks of pack up ...

need another cuppa .. *toddles off to the kitchen* x

morning! i slept in this morning so was a mad rush to get the bigger ones up and ready! luckily we only stay 2 min walk away so they went themselves! im so tired today and cant seem to wake up? have all my ebay things dring at the minute so will get them all posted this afternoon! am really impressed as i managed to buy the new phil and ted covers for the pram and have £97 in paypal will be glad once its all posted though!
so apart from ebaying i think it will be an easy day and not doing much lol!

tara thinking of you all today and hope DGD gets her operation x

GP-we just make our own apps here. Baby gets appointment made for 8wk check with HV & GP.
