  • Hiya ladies!

Been in and out all day but not posted so I thought I ought to!

    Happy Birthday Annabel.

3 - why was there no kissing and 'I love you ladies so much' talk when you came on last night ;) it is the rule after being out IRL on a Friday night you know xx

We didn't make Little Stars this morning because I decided to leave Benjamin napping...he went down about 30 mins before we were supposed to leave and after an hour I decided it was too late. He slept for nearly 2 hours!! Currently napping again after lots of fun playing together just the 2 of us for a change. It is nice to have time to concentrate on him 100%.

Hubby is okay, was due to have one of his drains removed today but the consultant said he wanted to leave it in for at least another day :( There was a rumour that visitors could be admitted 'at the ward managers discretion' but seeing as hubbys ward is mostly serious post-op cases the WM said it wasn't worth the risk.

I decided to back down in my strop with my mum (she hasn't called since hubby went into hospital, despite me texting her to say he was in recovery) and ask them if they would visit tomorrow so I don't get too lonely. She said they would as long as my brother doesn't want them to have his kids for the day (mum is having them overnight) - way to make me feel special mum *rolleyes*
So not only does she not know how hubbys surgery, or that he is still quite poorly, or that he can't have any visitors, I am still not a priority when I clearly ask for help because I am lonely :(

I know it will just be that she 'hasn't got around to calling' but FGS, sometimes you just have to shake yourself up a bit.

Ooo - that turned into a bit of a rant!!

    Choppy - piccie please xx

Glad hubby is getting there MFD, but sorry to hear things with your mum aren't so great. Have a hug ((hug)).

No pic yet...she keeps closing her mouth everytime I try to take a pic <insert rolling eyes smiley>. Hubby took one earlier of her "standing up" leaning on the sofa. It's the first time she's "stood" for more than a couple of seconds. I even tried her yesterday but she couldn't/wouldn't.

I meant of your hair :o

Yay for teeth though :T and standing!! They always try harder for their daddy ;)

Benjamin keeps climbing up on everything. Today he climbed onto hubbys laptop bag, then onto mine which was on top of his old car seat and was trying to climb over the back of the sofa
Oh and he is also making kissing noises :A

Ooops, how embarrassing :o:o:o. I'll see how I look when I'm dressed up tonight. Currently have no make-up on!

It sounds like you have a mountaineer in the making there, and a clever one at that. You'll have to have another meet so he can give kisses to Vi :D

Nightmare, Ello has mastered the stairs 2 whole flights, even the difficult ones up to the attic, I could have done without that for a while!

Hugs, MFD, content yourself with the thought of how fabulous a mummy you are

Happy Birthday Annabel, Hope the hungry caterpillar didn't eat all the cake.

Can't believe all the ones who were just in front of me on the pregnancy club are now starting to have birthdays.

Harley - nice to see you back. Glad Kezia is ok and you have been enjoying real life. Did you really bake a cake at that time this morning? Mental!

    x

Hi, yes I was. Been trying to make it since last Saturday but can't seem to do something that needs specificly timed attention when Kezia is awak so had to get up and get on with it. It is lovely though, would you like some. Its more of that Chocolate sponge with mint butter icing that got several mentions on the preg thread when I was there. Still not as nice as my mums but not bad.

Now switched to Lidls flour (my snobbery disintegrated around about the same time as my salary) and it is by far the best one I have ever made. Mum had been using their flour since before Xmas and her cakes are even lighter than usual too. I highly recommend it.

K had a go on a swing and loved it!! have taken a picture so will post it in a bit. had a lovely ice-cream cone and coffee. then back to theirs for lunch. os been out from 10.30 and got back bout 4ish.

SM - Well done on the eBaying, you did really well. Glad jabs went ok too......

MFD - Sorry you feel lonely and your mum wasn't very forthcoming with help/company......
My mum is a ALWAYS like this, I never come as a priority EVER!! Loads of occasions (mainly years ago as I barely ever ask her for anything anymore) I would ask if she could babysit and she would reply with, Don't know yet I'm not sure what i'm doing......another words I was at the back of the queue but if nothing else came up then she would do it.

Susan - Thanks for that info....I did give him cows milk for his afternoon bottle, he gulped it down. I don't think he even realised that it was different. He eats a very varied diet, with plenty of yoghurt, fruit, cheese, meat and veg so should be fine for iron?
I will keep his other two bottles as formula for another couple of weeks and change the morning one over to cows milk next, then the night one.

I forgot to put the chicken in the oven and it won't be done till 5.30 now then I have to pick it off and turn it into dinner....not sure what to give Kai as that is going to be a bit late for him.....
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
