Just picked J up to put a towel under him and he peed everywhere! :rotfl:
He is now lying on his changing mat with a towel under him but he wriggles so much he's now off the towel with his feet in his hands and his bum in the air :cool:

For the record (just to muscle in on a weaning discussion), Andrew's still on one meal a day, I haven't started giving him breakfast yet (I'm not that organised). But he's still only 5 months, so we're deliberately taking a softly softly approach.

Has anyone pureed any meat yet? (as opposed to giving a meat-mix shop jar)?

TBH just had it and prefer our HM - its the first time in about 8 months we have had a takeaway as been making using stuff from local chinese supermarket cos it was cheaper - have decided it also tasted better aswll now!!

I just followed the weaning guide that I got sent by HIPP & C&G which said simialr.

Not pureed meat yet - am waiting til he's a bit older, just had the meaty jars the last couple of days)

A question for those with crawlers/walkers/self feeding babies/older kids - I have had to start bathing Benjamin more frequently now he is getting more dirty but I am still trying to keep it to a minimum because I don't want to bath him every night. What are the other mums (that don't believe in nightly baths) doing? And does anyone have any tips for giving baby a good wash?

Also - does anyone else have a baby who drinks bath water and should I be stopping him? At the moment I just find it really funny, he sticks his face in the water to get a mouthful and then comes up spluttering! We already have to have 2 sponges so he can have one to suck and I can have one to wash him.

MFD - I just wipe face/neck/hands with a flannel and stick a new babygrow on. I've got a bath water drinker too.

He hates being flannelled! I think I am too rough

And he always has fluff between his toes, I get embarrassed when there is red fluff mixed in and he wore his red socks a week ago :rotfl:


I just wondered what others were doing. I know some bathe every day but there is no way I would be up for that!!

well the new challenge has brought a flurry of cooking here. Today I roasted potatoes and turkey for tomorrow's lunch,

Baked 2 carrot cakes

made 6 portions of chick pea curry

and a delia fat onion tart with cheesy mustard pastry (nommity nomnoms)
