Right - Caitlyn seems to be having trouble pooing at the moment. It usually comes out but is painful for her and she only does bits at a time. Yesterday I could see when I changed her nappy that one was imminent, but it really hurt her and made her cry. It didn't come out and hasn't since. I thought as I was typing earlier that she had done it because she really cried and I could smell it. However, when I went to change her nappy there was nothing there. So it seems as if it was too painful. I know she will go eventually, I just want to make it less painful for her. Does water help? As she is BF I thought that was enough and she wouldn't need any water. Do any of you ladies have experience of it? I'm thinking weezl did, but not sure if it's the same thing?
I don't think we ever had constipation particularly but we found that when Alice started eating solid foods, her insides took a while to get used to it and things were very variable.

Yes it's since she started on solid foods. She's not had a good 'emptying' for a good few days, so I know it will happen eventually - it just hurts her!

  • Yikes, Harley!. Glad all turned out ok. Hugs for you and Kezia.

PS: didn't click the link but I have read about it in a magazine prior to having Poppy.

  • PP, if she is being weaned I think she needs water too? I'm sure lovely Weezl posted about it when Tigs asked a while back.

  • Nice to see you back Harley! Glad to hear that the docs think Kezia is okay but it must have been really scary. We're thinking of a meet in Winchester sometime soon, which I'm guessing would be much easier for you to get to? I'll keep you posted!

    Sami- yay for your sister!

Sami - yes the poop is solid, I can see it coming out but it's as if it's too big? And that's what hurts her. Will try giving her some water. Does it still have to be cooled boiled at almost 7 months?

It's quiet here this morning, not that I am complaining:)

I am going to switch Kai's afternoon bottle to cows milk...no harm doing this is there? He will still be having his morning and evening one kept to formula until next month. I have been considering it for the last week or so, and as I seem to be low on formula this weekend I am thinking I may as well do it now!! I will put it in a bottle at first but I think by the time I drop formula completely, next month, it will go in a cup during the day and he will just have a bottle morning and night then!

Where is 3 and SS lately?
