back cos he's playing ONE GAME of FIFA!
BIL just sits on his ariss all night. Don't mind so much with OH - he's my OH! BIL pays £40 a week now and gets his tea cooked for him every night. I could drop hints til the cows come home and get nowhere - in fact I could say 'Oi, buy me a takeaway' and it would fall on deaf ears!
I went up about 11pm and didn't give him his dummy but just shushed him & rubbed his back. The silly thing was up until 4 weeks ago he never had a dummy! Now he wants it for naps and night time sleeps! It started cos he was teething but I know that its why he wakes up in the night as soon as he has the dummy he goes straight back to sleep!
Urgh, maybe you should put his rent up to £60 for the first week of each month and then £40 for the other weeks and then spend the extra £20 on a takeaway
I can't find my post. Maybe I never did one. The stupid search thing doesn't show up all my posts and I've just trailed though quite a large section of Thread 8 but can't find it.
There wasn't really much more to what I wrote above anyway. But, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Even if she sees another baby's dummy now, she isn't interested in it.
It's difficult because giving them the dummy helps them go back to sleep but, in Caitlin's case (it might not be the same for Jack), it was also the dummy that was making her cry for us because she wanted it but couldn't put it in herself. Now, usually (touch wood!), if she wakes up, she puts herself back to sleep. Unfortunately, sometimes it does involve a 30min chat to herself (like at 4:15 this morning ) which we can hear over the monitor but usually we don't have to go in to her.0 -
