I'm feeling good :D just called 2 schools and now searching for info about the rules of getting into schools.
HV was telling me about it yesterday, we have to get a card stamped everytime we go to church to get a place at the local CofE (think this is our 2nd choice) so also scared me into looking at wider possibilities becasue last yr those that didn't get any of their 3 choices ended up at the chavvy dump in scruffs-ville  though if that happened I'd rather hold Chris back for a year if we didn't successfully appeal!

I give food an hour after a bottle. Just started with baby rice mixed with fruit puree. We are on day 3 and its going quite well. Hes also drinking water out a cup which is cool!

Hes now taking over 40oz of milk a day and having a bottle every 2.25hrs and having 2 bottles in the night, despite all this milk he has gained less than 1lb in 6 wks which is why the HV told me to give him baby rice and fruit puree incase anyone wants to know why we are early weaning.

ETA I give it at lunch time around 12.30.

what a little gannet!!!! 1lb in 6 weeks despite all that milk
We only did baby rice on its own once - now use it to thicken up the fruit cos it can be dead runny!

similar to sami - this morning J had a bottle @ 7.30am then porridge when he woke up again at 9am then another bottle at 11am. Thought we had passed the 3hr mark but no he wants a bottle now despite having 7ozs at 11am and dinner at 12.30pm!

started to give K some food...but when do you give it? some sheets we have say at end of feed (but he wont open his mouth then, cos he's full) another says in middle??
I think it depends on how bothered you are about ensuring he takes solids as well as milk and also whether he will take them after milk. The reason for recommending it to be after a feed is so that and solids they take are in addition to rather than in place of milk. I think it's a matter of opinion and what the baby is like as to which is best.
ok me and philip have been booted to the edge of the sofa by a mini lump taking the whole thing up *rolleyes* ... job hunting has turned up nothing need to get some ink or a less expensive bloody printer ...
Have you tried eBay for ink cartridges? I'm just looking for mine and (for branded, non remanfactured) the going rate is around 30-60% cheaper than the cheapest I could find anywhere else. I would imagine it would be similar with other cartridges and if you are willing to try non original and/or remanufactured you can probably get even better deals.

ggodnes csh! did 'they' say anything about him drink so much but not gaining? That's one hungry boy!!

His weight was being monitored for the last 4 weeks as he was really good at gaining in the beginning. 'They' lol, 'she' said it could be because he has had a bit of a growth spurt lenghtways, hes now on the 98th percentile for height and 25th for weight.
Shes advised to start him on solids and see her on Monday at the M&B group to see how we are getting on and take it from there.
Hes not himself the now tho cos hes always hungry! Going back to night feeding has not been kind to me lol

SM - My OH is addicted to ebay and always has me checking his account. Very annoying!
Your coin is still on £62!

J is back up to the 25th centile after a little dip - they don't even look at height here! He's been measured once at 6 week check but not since and not at birth. Had him weghed over 3 weeks ago and was 14lb 5oz yet his size 3 nappies (9lbs-20lbs) are getting tight around his legs so got a box to take back to ASDA and change for 4's. Plus he woke up yesterday and the front of his sleepsuit was wet.

Had 2ozs of his bottle and is now flat out - typical when I wanted to go to ASDA!
