I agree, and in a way I would like to think the experiences of Rhys/Dylan/Rose/Andrew have opened some eyes for the future..

ETA: Angela and Tigs, I apologise if I've labelled your LOs as "unhealthy" mistakenly :o I just mean the ones who had an unexpected start, iyswim. I don't think I said it right but then I didn't want to leave anyone out either! Pah, I'm rubbish!

    No offence taken :)

MM - I never know how to answer the unplanned/planned question.

She was unplanned in the sense that she was unexpected, but planned because we'd been trying and having treatment for so many years.

So I just say she was a planned surprise.

Same here. We knew we wanted a baby, but never expected it to happen so easily and quickly because of our ages (it was first time of trying!) so Andrew was a planned surprise too.

  • Thanks for all the thoughts on Waterbabies. I wish you could do a trial, but I don't think you can!
I'm not sure you get paid for KIT days I may be wrong tho maybe Elle or MFD might know???

Tara Congrats on grandparenthood hope your DD and DGD are doing well

yet more bad news in the scruffy house, DHs Grandma passed away this morning. Now totally 4 deaths in 2010. Please let this be the last.:(

Big hugs for a rubbish start to 2010, Scruffy.

It depends on your employer whether you get paid for KIT days, I think. I do luckily.
My eldest is coming tommorrow so wont be able to make it but thanks for thinking of me x

We'll definitely let you know if we do it again.

    I'm watching this too.

Have you seen the advert for "one born every minute" next Tuesday? Ooh and Supernanny's back next week aswell.

That's my maternity hospital- it was filmed in October last year and Henry was born in November, I know some of the people on the trailer from ante-natal :p.

MFD- Glad MFD is doing well, but :( to not being allowed his own snacks. Kindof good that he gets to keep his epidural in a bit longer though.

Thanks for the good wishes Fitz! I need to go and get ready, I am sure the Basingstoke ladies don't wish to meet me in my current unshowered state.

Tara- glad you got to share such an amazing experience with DD, and that they are both doing well. Keep us updated x x

Weezl- does it just have a picture of Santa on (no Christmassy wording)? If so you could just feign surprise, and say you thought the pic was of Fergie's Grandad/ Great Uncle/ a generic jolly old man!

J was planned but wasn't supposed to arrive for a good few months! Plan was to start trying around August 2009 but we got a bit lazy once we decided that!

not much to say today - not doing much so going to clean the nursery ready for J's removal from our room  Am silently pooping myself but I know it needs to be done.

Good night, had tea n scrummy cupcakes, watched a film then bed!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
