Tara have they done a CTG? Google is not your friend, but if the baby isn't in distress then they'll monitor and wait.

    Thinking of you all.

They have her on a monitor, but no scan. Not a great hospital. I wish she lived here as my hospital was wonderful! She's only seen midwives, which I don't understand as she doesn't see them at all now, only her consultants X2.

Tara, ultrasound won't do much in terms of diagnosis if they suspect an abruption - a transvaginal scan could outrule placenta/vasa praevia but those would be less common.

It would probably be clinical exclusion, AFAIK Tara - the US may show something but not necessarily, and if there's nothing else it appears to be then it'll most likely be an abruption.

If she's being monitored, things to keep in mind are foetal heart rate, maternal BP/HR, regular movements from baby, signs of shock in mother (esp if blood loss is severe) and relative solidity of her tummy. So long as everyone's alert and in reasonable condition you can just try your best not to worry.

    Hugs.
