The Dr has referred him to a paediatrician about his constipation.
    ...
In my head the referral is a good thing and glad he is going to be checked out as to why his gut is sluggish.

In my heart I am worried about him and paediatrician is somehow more scary than popping along to see the GP.
Hopefully they will be able to find out what is causing it and find a solution.

The bucket swapping went a bit Pete Tong.

I've de-flooded the kitchen twice now.

Warning to all - don't underestimate how much water a washing machine uses
I know - our washing machine went haywire a while ago (due to stupid hotpoint design fault ) and we used every towel we could find mopping it up.
We have another paediatritian appointment in March because I bailed on the last one worrying that Benjamin would have lost weight again :o I know he is absolutely fine and any damage/injury that he was born with is now fine so there is absolutely no need for us to be still seeing the consultant. If you remember she asked to see us again because she couldn't discharge a baby that had lost weight (when he had been poorly) and then he was poorly again in the week before our last scheduled appointment in December and I bottled it. I was worried (irrationally) that they would have Social Services barring the doors and refusing to let us come home if he had lost weight again :o
I wonder if they ever discharge a baby when they say they will - OH and I were both supposed to have been discharged and then weren't more than once because of minor problems which they would never have known about if they hadn't been seeing them already.

*pops on with quick thought for susan*: I think marmite is a great source of all the B vitamins and one vegetarian I know says it's passable as a hot drink...
That's useful to know although I can't say I find marmite very appealing. Apparently I used to have marmite sandwiches for lunch as a toddler until my dad made them and did it as thick as chocolate spread.

But it can easily be added to gravies and sauces without making the dish taste marmitey.
