No thats why I gave you aand not a
I don't think there is one thing that I could put my finger on actually and say 'this' is the reason. Its a combination of a lot of factors that are relevant to me therefore a bit pointless getting into it IYKWIM
Thats more than likely why people prefer to say they have tried and failed rather than give a reason that they didn't want to in the first place.0 -
I have to confess that I can't understand why someone would choose not to breastfeed (as opposed to trying and it not working out). It doesn't mean I think that someone who chooses not to is a bad person - I just don't understand their choice. It's like everything - people all make different choices and sometimes you can understand why someone would make a different choice and sometimes you can't. I'm sure a lot of my life/parenting choices are hard for other people to understand (e.g. how many people are thinking, "Why would you want a lotus birth?") but it doesn't mean they are judging me for them. (BTW I hope that doesn't sound like a rant at you - it's more a musing triggered by your post.)
I do agree actually. Despite the misery I had when Seth was a newborn, I would at least try to BF my next one. I would just know better where my personal boundaries are, and therefore know when it was time for me to do the right thing by us instead of plodding on in misery. It is important to me that my child does have at least a little bit of BF. I think Weezl posted something once which said something along the lines of a baby that is BF for the first 3 days gets enough immunity from it to last over a month compared to a FF babies immunity. But thats just what I think, and if someone just doesnt want to do it, then good on them for being strong enough to say so with their head held high!
Darn you all. I want mac and cheese for lunch now, you pesty people talking of yummyness!Mummy to
