Although just clocked that Violet is violet
Why do crumpets not fit in the toaster properly?
What is happening to numberplates now we are in the teeny years?
Not booked Tuesday off yet...still pondering
Well spotted that Violet is violet! Liv would rather be black or green, but then people won't know she's a DD.
I was wondering about the number plates last week - I thought it was just me that worried about trivial stuff. Can it be AB10 ABC ?
Stop pondering and book it.
Thank you to the lovely faries.I've just received a lovely birthday bib, which will be passed back to the faries on 8th Feb.

I think it was red for a baby milestone or achievement, and Bold for I'd like a response.;)

I just felt she made some good points regarding bf'ing for comfort - i.e the child relies on this for comfort, as opposed to just a cuddle. I would try to make sure my baby didn't still use a bottle at that age, so the same rule would apply to bf'ing for me, but using a cup would be better obviously, but then i don't think the BM would provide anything they particularly needed that food wasn't already giving them at that age.
I'm not against it at all, and i admire anyone who can continue for so long, but it's not for me and i found myself nodding at some of the GMTV feature.

Red for a baby milestone?
Andrew weighed in at 8lb this morning - that was 5 ounces in a week!
Let's hope the consultant is now happy with his weight gains (see her next week) and doesn't nag us. Not our fault he's sleeping through!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I didn't watch it, as these things usually make me angry!
Personally, I don't see anything wrong with a child being reliant on me for comfort, and if they want to BF for comfort, I'm happy with that. I don't like dependence or attachment to things (dummies, bottles, toys) but I do like attachment to a primary carer (not forced attachement obviously, but if the child wants/needs it).
I also think that there are benefits to extended breastfeeding:

I'm going to breastfeed till LO self-weans, although I will encourage (offer) him feeds until at least 15 months.
Interestingly, I self-weaned as soon as I started walking, at 13 months. I also gave up night feed first, I think someone mentioned that the other day.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Hope all babies and parents feel better soon...
:rotfl:Weezl v's Bounty!
I packed absolutely everything I thought I could ever need (my Dad was in the Navy/DH's in the Army so we know how to pack well!). There was no way I would have gone without my make-up bag  and my lovely shower gel and shampoo. No spritzy sprays though! :rotfl:
And being induced twice, I read lots of magazines and books whilst playing the waiting game.
I'm not broody, I'm not broody, I'm not broody...
