trying to lurk and i keep dashing in and out so not keeping up properly ...

i left packing my hospital bag quite late. i had all the things to go in it but could never bring myself to pack it. i obviously did in the end, but how things went for me and having to get the hopsital quite quickly, i took the hospital bag but forgot the baby bag (oops) ...

Beenie, it could be your period despite breastfeeding. Do you give a dummy? I think you mentioned LO sleeping for more than 6 hours? Do you express and give a bottle at all? Give any formula, water, babyrice? Those things can mean periods return sooner. If i remember rightly, co-sleeping and babywearing can extend the time before a period returns.

    Morning SB.

    Are you feeling broody today?:p

ETA: Beenie - mine came and went until V was a few months old. And no, I don't think you can for your first one - but I don't know why.

from memory, until 6 week check has eliminated possibility of there being any womb infection due to retained placental material, best to use towels as tampons can be worse for bacteria, ie toxic shock syndrome... IYSWIM?

But in reality most Drs don't check you at the 6 week check anyway, so most women seem to go back to them when they'd like to.

    nope :)

You have to tell us how things are now :D

Still up and down and always manic!

Had Reece weighed yesterday and he's now 21lb 14oz (9.95kg) and is 76cm long (what a fat giant!) at 37 weeks (8 months ish) old

Does anyone know how long a warranty a sofa would normally have from homebase? Ours is less than a year old but one of the seats doesn't seem to be lining up and is collapsing into the storage bit underneath!

I took a larger hospital bag because I knew I'd be in for a few days (c/section) ... but ended up in for a fortnight, so I got through 6 paperbacks and 2 puzzle books! Plus I had movies on the MP4 player!

I think my period has come? I stopped bleeding from the birth after 2 weeks. Now she's 5w old and i'm bleeding light. Am bf'ing too so wasn't expecting it for a while. :( Could it be my period or should i see doc? Also can i use tampons?

my mw told me not to use tampons for the 1st period as you might get an infection. but i did forget and after 2 days of pads i used tampons :o

Glam- i packed my knitting and a book. were invaluable when i was in and out all the time. But cos i was in/out my hospital bag when i finally went in was missing a few things...

Weezl- fantastic photo and gorgeous trousers! lol at bounty madness!!

Best thing i got told was to use baby wash especially if you have stitches as it doesnt sting.
