Glam - you have FAR more patience than I ever would. In fact, a lot of you ladies with less-than-helpful OHs do. I would've told him to get stuffed ages ago as I'm a firm believer in equal partnership. I'd tell him if he's going to act like a sperm doner, you're going to start treating him as such!!

(even though I'm on mat leave, my DH still helps out with some cleaning/housework and deffo helps with Finn loads!)

DH often works from home and since LO was born he does nearly all the cooking and cleaning! He says it is my job to bring David up which is far more important than housework so he wants to help as much as possible .
. I need Isla to start having daytime naps that aren't in the sling or on my knee :o
I have the same problem with David :o but what a nice problem to have! :D

The baby is supposed to be having 1 hours supervised contact a week with his Dad, dont know how thats going to work when i'm 45 mins away, I cant afford to drive there and back once a week, plus I'm not even allowed to come back here!

Social Services can (and should) fund your travel costs. Ask your Solicitor to write to them as you cannot be expected to pay these costs once a week especially when i'm sure you'll be wanting every penny to get your new place sorted. xxx

  • Thanks guys, have no idea of the area, but it's only 11 miles away from my sister so not all bad.
Have no idea how contact is going to be arranged, dont even think SS do, it would be so much easier if they could do it like every other weekend or something like that, then at least they would all get to spend more time with Ryry, cos it will be his Mum who has Ryan, like she does with his daughter.

Anyway, I'm watching Shameless then going bed, I'll pop on tommorow eve and fill you in.
    Night all xx

Hammy sounds like we have similar OH's and similar babies! As you say, it is a lovely problem really and in a few months time when their big and running around I'll be longing for my little girl who slept on my knee all day giving me sleepy smiles :)

My OH's exact words were 'Its a full time job producing mummy milk for pudding chops so it doesnt matter about anything else but keeping her happy' I knew their was a reason tat I loved him. That and he didn't shout about the new pram :rotfl:

DKA - sorry you didn't get the place you wanted, hope everything works out. Little one's teacher sounds lovely buying him cakes.

Im off to watch Shameless, night all x
