I have no idea how many x number of toilet rolls would last in this house, I've never thought about it!
*confused* That said, toilet rolls are on my list for things to spot on offer and stockpile in the next few weeks before the money runs out!
Just another thought.. where do you keep all of these huge stashes of loo roll?!

Do you know beforehand which midwives you are getting?
I was hoping for a home birth, but with complications it didn't go to plan. There was a small group of midwives that I saw at ante-natal, with one main one who did most of the appoinments. She said she would try really hard to be there, but if not one of the others from the group would assist so it would be someone I was familiar with rather than a stranger.
The main midwife came out to my home and had a look round. It's got to be risk assessed from her point of view so she doesn't do her back in leaning over your bed or anything like that. She said it's useful for them to know in advance where your bathroom is in case you need a hand going to the loo or want a shower or bath. She also said it was important to make sure we had plenty of teabags in
I can't remember the specifics, but in early stages someone would keep popping in to check and going away again. Once things started going, someone would come and stay but they could sit in another room if I wanted, and a second midwife would arrive when delivery was imminent. She said sometimes there might be a student too, but I'd be told about that nearer the time and I could object if I wanted.
The midwife was really keen on it and said she loved home births as it meant she could relax and concentrate on one person rather than running round like a headless chicken in the hospital trying to look after multiple women and not being able to give each as much attention as she wanted to.workinmummy wrote: »
But he is off on holiday today, and instead of letting Alex go to his mums to be looked after, he is doing it himself. But this means that the ironing he was supposed to do for me today, won't get done. Because he "will have had Alex" all day. And we all know that you can't possibly do anything else other than look after a baby (insert "rolls-eyes thingy).
That annoys me too. He can't do anything else when he's looking after Charlotte. I was annoyed at the weekend as he was supposed to be playing with her while I was busy stripping wallpaper in the bathroom. I heard clattering in the other bathroom and Charlotte had been standing on the toilet seat squirting my body lotion everywhere and the seat had come off. Fixed the seat and cleaned the body lotion up, and came down to discover he'd plonked her in front of CBeebies and was playing a computer game and had never realised she'd vanished. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Searching, mine is the same. I've got enough hair for 3+ people according to the hairdresser. I get tempted to shave it off and buy a wig! It is hard to manage super thick hair.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Okay, you're just not talking Grimsby then!Airing cupboard, I'd call it, though we don't have one here (no blinking storage in a bungalow - I crave an understairs cupboard!)

I'm still poorly and feeling sorry for myselfSympathy please! It is the nice kind of poorly though, you know weak and pathetic, but not too bad. I shall milk it tonight when OH gets in and make him give me lots of fuss.
I also want to say now, while I'm well, that my OH is a really good guy. I complain about him alot and misread him when I'm low, and he does find it hard to deal with me when I'm like that, but I think I do him an injustice on here.
Big hugs and sympathy for you!!It's nice to know your OH is good sometimes too. Hope he does spoil you tonight.. What are you hoping for? Cooking tea and bringing you drinks, or a bubble bath?
Poor Tobes! When I first read that, I thought "oh that'd make Rhys laugh" then got to the end and thought "oh no, better not!"

i have arguements with hairdressers ... them going to me it'll only take 45mins tops .. me going it will be at least an hour and a half .. and it always takes 2 hours and them being knackered :rotfl:xStill searching .....:)

On the subject of free nursery places after the age of 3, it is actually from the term after they are 3, so if childs birthday is around now lets say, the free place wouldn't begin until after the easter hols (next term).MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740

Toby did enjoy it at the time, and isn't bothered by a bit of sick. I was more bothered because he crawlled over to me to be sick, just as I was out the bath!
I think I'll have a nice bath, a cuddle and an early night tonight. What are your plans?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
