So would we a rebate of the last 2 and a smidge years too then of £80 per year

If you do it now, you'll probably get a updated tax code for next year. If you'd done it earlier in the tax year, this year's £80 would appear by the wonders of PAYE (you'd probably pay pro-rata £80ish less in the month it's applied) to sort of "catch up" on the extra allowance for the months already passed. Eventually, I think some of our guys got a cheque for the previous years, direct from the tax office. I think they can backdate it for a couple of years (but only some of them cos OH never got one - don't know why, probably just different people doing different things at the tax office).
Obviously I'm saying "you" as aka "the employee"
Will go see if I can find you an official link about it..
ETA: It's something like this: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/EIM32480.htm. I remember not being able to find anything written for the employee, it's all guidance notes for people who understand tax iyswim  If you just phone the tax office and explain, they should know what you mean
You can find the phone number of your local tax office here. 0 -

Evening everyone,
Just caught up
Chickenpox - I used aloe vera on Katie when she had it helped with itching and her temperature as it cooled her skin.
Nuts, Seeds etc - Katie loves dried fruit, I introduced her to nuts and seeds tonight which seemed to be a hit and didn't fill her up too much before tea.
Hugs for all poorly babies, mummies.
Had a really busy Saturday - swimming, lunch out, shopping and dancing. Had a quiet day today, been to church and done nothing else.
Katie had loads of fun last night but was completely exhausted by the time it finished - so tired that she was crying.
She got even more upset the closer we got to home, when I asked her why her reply was:
"I don't want to wake daddy up with my crying!"
Cue a huge mummy hug and kiss and reassurance that even if daddy was woken up he wouldn't be cross.
(she was expecting DH to be in bed as he was at work at 5am, as it was he was still up as I'd left my front door key at home).
She didn't wake up till 9am then had a 3 hour sleep this afternoon and was still in bed for 8pmProud to be dealing with my debts
DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it
