My last car was an R reg Polo which didn't even have power steering! Previously we had a 1971 Nissan Bluebird (backpackers car in Oz which died in the Outback), and then before that, I had my mum's cast off ancient Micra.

That's why I love my Megane so much! It has all sorts of fancy gadgets and compartments. When you get to my age (ancient old ruin that I am), you have earned the right to a nice sensible car!

ETA - night Tia and JM. I am going to head off too I think. Night everyone else. x

Oi you say that like power steering is the norm or something (sshh). Last time i drove something with power steering i was paying £18 an hour.

I've had a Ford Escort (R), Citroen Saxo (P), Renault Clio (P). One day i'll have something that's not old enough to have hit puberty. :rotfl: None have lasted over a year, i think the Clio is gonna be good to me though, despite the leaky sunroof and worn brake pads... (grrr another expense coming up).

On a related note, not one !!!!ing number on the lottery tonight

I can hear a constant bassy drone in my head. It's like thunder or a low flying aircraft. Just a normal night living next door to MORONS :mad::mad: One of these days i'll get to experience silence again.

Hey i killed the thread :(

Droning is still going on. Am on facebook chat talking to next door-but-one 17 yr old and he's saying he hears them all the time too!!

I've found a house on the bidding site thing and it sounds perfect but it's not in the best areas. No worse than my current one if it's in the part i think. 3 beds too, i wonder............
  • Hope your neighbours have !!!!!! now Beenie.

I'm back up feeding A but after his last feed just 2 hours after the one before he went 5 hours :) Hope he's next hungry in another5 hours and not just 2 *fingers crossed*

Also hope DH doesn't wake me and/or try to talk to me when he gets in from work at 4.30.

We have booked our holiday for June- a week in a cottage in the middle of nowhere in south-west wales.... will be bliss :)

Alex is still doing well, we had our first bath last night, which was surprisingly untraumatic.

Seeing lots of people today, it will be interesting to see how Alex copes with that, but also nice as I am seeing someone whos lo also has talipes.

Hope everyone has a good day

Oh, and yesterday i got annoyed with my boots natural touch bottles leaking all over Alex's face and took them back- they didn't have a barcode for them so refunded £14.99 so I used the credit to buy the boots tommee tippee starter kit they have currently for £14.99 rather than £24.99.

Advice for anyone buying bottles- don't buy the boots natural touch ones- they are carp, the lady doing the refund wasn't surprised I was returning them.

    Morning all *yawn*

I keep waking up at 2am and find myself not being able to get back to sleep for nearly 2hrs each night, it's very annoying!

Also K went through a stage of not getting up until 8/8.30 but has obviously got bored of that and is up by 7am at the latest again lately....was 6.45 today. I could really do with that extra hour atm too.

Was about to type about bottles and saw KT's post above...how strange?

Does anyone have a problem with Avent bottles leaking? I used ttctn for ages but the teats went funny on them so I changed to Avent which he really took to but they never seem to seal properly!!

    Mel x

    Morning everyone

Redmel yes i have the avent bottles and they leak all the time its so annoying. but then i heard the tommee tippee closer to nature can be just as bad. i dont think there are many bottle out there at the moment that dont leak at least sometimes but it does seem to be a particular problem for the avent ones :-)
