SS - I'm sleepy too but think that's the wine ;)

    SM - :j:j:j go you!

    Boo - Hello :hello:

Feelie - can you make any of the March meets up here?

Beenie -do you have a Toys R Us card?
    If not, I'll send you any vouchers I get them through, there's usually a £XX of a £XX spend. I won't need them :)

Beenie- that is a very good idea- sign up for the Toys R Us Baby Club thingy and the first mailing they send you has some good money off vouchers in it.

Also how about Quidco, could you raise some extra that way?

Mystery shopping and Dooyoo reviews maybe? Do you do any of the free scratchcards online? I do Virgin Bingo everyday and although it's not big money, I reckon I get around £10 every six weeks or so which soon adds up. I think there are details on the Up Your Income board.

After that flurry of ideas my bed is calling me. Night all!

beenie also look on ebay as a lot of people buy the cots and have little ones that wont sleep in them! that way you could spend the extra on a good matress :D x
What's for you won't go past you
  • Beenie - glad you got shot of him

Re CSA - once the agency have the order on their system, the amount he has to pay each month carries over so if he has a month/week where he earns lots he will have some of the backdated taken. Which doesn't help imediately but is nice to know.

Friday 12th is good for me. I can't take any time off till after our end-of-year peak now (I think the no-holiday period ends mid April then I have another few weeks where it is restricted).

Can we see the kind of thing you're looking at Beenie and we can make it a hunt-down-a-good-one challenge?

I topped my phone up in November because there were extra points at Tesco. Before that it was March 2006. I've got five free texts per day for life though so mainly use them.

I just called my parents, and everything was fine till my mother heard OH in the background, then she couldn't get off the phone quick enough. It's not like pretending he doesn't exist is going to make him go away :(
First time OH "met" my dad he nearly got run over by him.

Does anyone have any experience on the CSA taking money when dad is working for an agency doing lots of diff temp jobs?? Not got a lot of hope that i'll get anything but i'm getting concerned about the fact we have no cot yet, and it's just the ONE thing i wanted her to have from new, everything else is 2nd hand.
No experience of CSA but I have been employed through agencies and they pay you through a payroll just the same as direct employers so it shouldn't make a difference.
I went round Ikea on Wednesday, I love ikea! I had an icecream too. And played pretend in all the apartments :D
Alice loves having little tea parties with the cups and saucers in Ikea - I sometimes take her for the fun of it, not to actually shop.

I [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] need this cotbed http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Nursery/Cots-and-Cotbeds/Kensington-Cotbed-in-Dark-Oak%280073418%29 i know i could get a cheaper one or a 2nd hand one but i'm so angry that i've not been able to get anything for Amber that i actually REALLY reeeeeeeeeally wanted, just because that waste of space hasn't contributed a penny. So i'm determined to get this one thing, and it'll last a few years.:mad::mad:
