Any suggestions or links for differentiating e.g. norovirus vs food poisoning symptoms? OH assuming it's food poisoning. We have guests with a young child on Sat, and are going to a birthday lunch on Sun, and if it's likely to be norovirus that may call for a plan change :(
Is norovirus not a form of food poisoning? I thought it was based on this?

  • I think norovirus is the term for lots of vomitting bug type things?

Does OH have a fair idea of what may have caused food poisoning? If it were me, I would definitely cancel tomorrow's plans and play it by ear for Sunday. Better to play it safe, and I think if symptoms have been gone for 48 hours you are no longer infectious even if it is a winter vomitting bug.

Mmmm, off to Starbucks for my free chocolate brownie in a bit.

I'm just watching OBEM - that water birth was amazing. I'm howling like a baby, just as well OH and Molly are out really.

Just booked his sphereing slot for his birthday. Very convenient, really - I just switched the sphereing and the spa so I'm having a Sunday morning spa treatment and his birthday is sphere-tastic.

oh gisi i forgot about the starbucks thing. was right near the one in town too.

    YAY for new cars :D

i am going to try tonight a different tactic with LO re sleeping longer post 12am. i of course put a new nappy on her after bath (say 7.45pm) and she then has 'bed' bottle. but as she is then having another and sometimes more during the night i am thinking it might be worth changing her nappy when she wakes at the 11pm-12am time.

i am at the stage of anything is worth a try.

also bought the calpol iburophen today to see if that helps us with teething

Hmm, not too sure, but I would cancel the guests, things like that are so easy to pick up, there is like a 48 hour window after the last 'bout'.

I can't watch that OBEM I just sob and cry the minute it comes on. I flicked over to a bit where they had a little baby boy that wasn't breathing. I only had it on for a min or two and had to turn it off as I was close to tears....

Just had some fantastic news.....SFE have finally sorted out my finance that was due to me back last September and January!! I am still currently registered at Uni as I was reluctant to formally leave until this was sorted out.... I would have been due another payment in April but will make sure I send in the forms to leave within the next week or two. I can't believe the amount we have been scrimping by on because of their mess up. Ah well seems to be all sorted now and the money will go in on monday which is so handy as we only had half the rent money aside, the rent is due monday!! I can also buy my buggy now, and save myself a small fortune, because they are still on sale atm on the pramworld site:D:D New it would cost £800 I can now get the sale one for £478 almost half price:money:

OH hated that bit - I had to point out that if the baby had died then they wouldn't have been showing it. Made me  about cord cutting because if they didn't cut the cord then baby would still have oxygen supply through placenta/cord.

I would always assume vomitting bug over food poisoning especially when exposing it to others.
We all had the novovirus/winter vomitting bug last year and it was awful.

:j for new cars! I miss my old car still :( lol
