You need a mirror, bud. You seem to be throwing a paddy fit every time someone says anything negative about your beloved Apple.
I have to disagree, there are far more gaming apps for the iPhone/iTouch than DS and PSP combined
That's just not true. Plus the vast majority of games for the iPhone are either iFart applications or crappy Miniclip-type games, that you can play for free online (or at least you could, if you had a device that was capable of Flash ;))

10 million people in the USA have bought iphones.

However, 100 million people voted for George Bush twice.

Just because people "buy it", doesn't mean to say it's any good.

And as for the iplate, I'd eat my dinner off it if didn't cost 600 dollars...

I'd imagine Marty has one of these beside his bed as well.

His absurd apple bias puts me off buying anything remotely associated with the company.

Is iFart used as a euphamism for 'farting' apps - as i have never downloaded them. You/Somebody mentioned that the games are not making any serious money - Tapulos the maker of Tap Tap is making $1 Million PER month, even if that does not include Apples 25% - from just one app Apple are generating $4 Million a year. Not bad for a store that only has iFart and crappy games.

As a question, have you ever used a iPhone/iTouch as your posts suggest that you have never played games on them.......

I just watched some of jobs rattling on about his need for a monthly ipad. One thing he says a lot is "it all works"
I think that means, it does nothing else and I dont really have anything to say so I will just say it works.

I have to disagree, there are far more gaming apps for the iPhone/iTouch than DS and PSP combined, ranging from the simple to the very complex games.

There are full games for the iPhone, i have several of them - Dizzy Bee,Bugdom, Blimp, Otto Matic just to name a few. Rolando is one of my favorites

The advantage of gaming on iPhone/Touch is that it is far simplier to work with - i have a Golf game and it is so much easier to play with. Playing F1 on my iPhone is easier than on a PS2. AFAIK games from the App store cannot/are not be pirated, and one of the most important things - Updates. Will Nintendo offer you a update of a game you own.......

The Palm Pre has games that wipe the iphone games.

The Iphone isn't that great and look at all the issues people had with it when it first came out. The Pre faults on one thing.....no video capture but they are releasing an over the air update for that so instead of having to buy another handset all i need to do is hit update and the phone does the rest with no need to link to computer.

Apple ned hype to sell their products and more so with the iphone. My Palm pre works so much better than the iphone. People say 'well its only got 8gb of memory' ....so what.

Nobody is doubting that Apple is making a killing from the App Store, we all know they are raking it in. but that's bad news for consumers, who have to pay all that money for crappy flash-type games and farting apps, that have to be pre-approved by Apple, the monopoly retailer for the apps.

Imagine if PC users were only allowed to buy their software from one retailer (say Microsoft.com), and could not purchase or use software from any other outlet which might offer the same product for cheaper. Imagine further that before any software could be put on sale, it had to be pre-approved by Microsoft, and that any software that competed with Microsoft's existing products was banned.

Do you think anyone would be singing Microsoft's praises? Apple users tend to have a strange case of Stockholm syndrome, they love being locked in.

Let's end some of the confusion I've read in this thread and get the facts straight.
Multitasking. This thing has hardware that is more than capable of multitasking. So does the iPhone. Evidence? The Palm Pre has the same processor as the iPhone and multitasks fine. The Pre plus, with twice the RAM, has been shown running 50 programs at the same time. That's a 500mhz processor, the iPad has 1ghz. No multitasking is a software restriction, not a hardware one. The processor is plenty fast.
As of today, there is no iPhone OS4. Anything anyone has heard about it is just rumours at this point.
Smart people may say that reading 100s of pages of text on e-ink is far more comfortable on the eye, but people who want to look at colour, pictures, and video, will want a colour screen and buy one. Then they'll get eye strain, but by then it's too late.
  • Never a fan of touch screen computing, i'm far more quicker with a keyboard.

the main problem with the I-pad i have read. if it hasen't been mentioned already on here already. Is that it can't multitask.

    Meaning that:

'If this is supposed to be a replacement for netbooks, how can it possibly not have multitasking? Are you saying I can't listen to Pandora while writing a document? I can't have my Twitter app open at the same time as my browser? I can't have AIM open at the same time as my email? Are you kidding me? This alone guarantees that I will not buy this product.'

    source:gizmodo dot com

also no built in camera, now come on apple your just being tight now, as foxconn make all of your products for you in china for next to nothing, how can you justify such lacking of technology for such a high price. :A
  • Be honest.....What can this piece of iPad !!!!!! do that a cheap laptop and a half decent mobile phone can't? Nothing....it's just a jumbo ipod.

...Apple knows that the capabilities of the machine is irrelevant when there are 1000's of idiots who will buy it just because it is the latest thing, and from the reports I have read, it offers nothing special to what is already available in the marketplace.
