Morning all
Dark and chilly here again this morning but no rain. Had lovely dinner last night we all had fish of different sorts, OH, DS1 and myself had pasta in a creamy tomato sauce with mushrooms and DS2 had the fish with jacket potato. Used low fat creme fraiche instead of cream, creme fraiche is fantastic stuff really love it! Not much of the baking I did on Sat left, think maybe I need to keep a tighter rein on what they are eating!! (helping themselves to when my back's turned more like!!!). On the upside at least it's been eaten and not going to get wasted - that I would really hate. Remembered to get the beef out of the freezer to defrost so will be having beef casserole for dinner tonight possibly with dumplings (not for me tho). Had a colleagues birthday at work yesterday and she brought in cakes but I just had my banana, wanted to be good as I have had several glasses of wine in the evenings and at the weekend, so will see how that has effected my weight loss when I weigh tomorrow, but food wise I've been good. Have discovered a water leak under our kitchen sink this morning, so will need to see if I can get that sorted today as I can't use the sink at all.
Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning all. I’ve not posted for a couple of days (or is that a week? hmm…) – it’s just been really busy. We had a loose lead workshop with the Puppy-Dog on Saturday – 3 hours outside on a freezing hillside! It’s worked wonders though, as OH and I finally agree on how to deal with the pulling on the lead and less than a week later we’ve almost cracked it! Sunday was a walk in the park with the local Guide Dog group – about 25 dogs all went out together. It was bedlam! Great fun though and all the dogs were shattered afterwards.
N9eav – I’ve been following the case on BBC news and thinking of you and your colleagues. I don’t know how you do it and I think you definitely deserve that pizza and wine tonight!
MSD – hugs for you. Hope everything turns out OK.
I did some baking over the weekend – orange crème cupcakes and chocolate fudge cupcakes. They seem to have gone down well! That just leaves the liver cake to sort out (for the dog. Not us). Hopefully I’ll get that done tomorrow. Today is going to have to be a MAJOR cleaning day as I’ve fallen off of the Flylady wagon. Although my kitchen floor is spotless. The dog threw up over it this morning which meant I just HAD to thoroughly clean the whole thing! My house is pretty dusty but any really germy dirt I can’t tolerate. And the dust is nothing my vacuum cleaner can’t handle!
Breakfast today is cereal as usual. Lunches are sandwhiches and a left over turkey & veg slice. Dinner will be some whoopsied pies with mashed potato and veg. Possibly followed by OH’s favourite – jelly – if I can get my bottom in gear and actually make some up!
Hugs all round – have a lovely day everyone!

fingers crossed for DS2 who has a maths exam today - he's quite nervous but I've just told him to do his best and make sure he reads the questions properly.
DH has got a very swollen knee - he's got a tubi grip on but I'm making him go to the docs as thats not the only health issue he's got atm. He's just rung and said he's in extreme pain(must be bad as he doesn't let much get to him) going to ring the docs now.
OS things - WM on - 2 loads to do today. House has been cleaned, just the kitchen floor to do later. Tea for DH is curry(HM from the freezer). Lunch will be butternut squash soup - got to make it later.
hope you all have a good day , take care xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all....((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
The packing continues, OH is bowling this morning, so I am going to pack all the plastic stuff thats in one cupboard and the jam maker, bread maker etc that I can do without for a day or two. Will also tackle the cupboard under the kitchen sink and if I have time clear the wall unit in the sitting room ready for it to come down.
This afternoon I have to go and collect a roll of wadding to take with me........its in a box thankfully, I had visions of it being on a roll!!! I have to take back the clogs I bought yesterday for OH and change them for a bigger size.
Better go and get on, be back later....................
Not a a lot of OS going on, we are still eating out of the kitchen freezer and its emptying rapidly.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning all...
HUGS to those that need them...
am at w*rk this morning, as i am every day really....
I have been good and made up a batch of soup for the rest of the week for lunches, as i know i am going to end up spending a bomb this week... (i am going ot the hairdressers, and the opticians... i would cancel the hair but i only get it done every other month and the other month should have been December but i cancell bcause of Christmas...)
Hey Ho... it's good that i'm getting it done this month as i will be having a pay cut next month, and tring to get new glasses after that will be more of a pian...
this evening i am having something with chicken, as i bought a cooked Chicken the other day at Asda... (50p more for a cooked chicken, and i can't cook a whole chicken as i get all paranoid about it being done, and end up chucking loads away as i'm convinced that i am about to kill myself with Salmonella - so definately not money saving)
i have loads of house work that i need to get done, but i will be happy if i could just get the washing washed and put out to dry this evening, and over the moon of i could sweep the stairs too...
i hope that everyone manages to have gpood days, and that they have nice weather for hanging out clothes to dry etc...

Unexpected chance to come on here this morning. Went to work bright and early (starting new role in CID today). Get a call from DD breackfast club to say can I pick her up as she feels really sick.
Father in Law can have her, but not til about 9.30, so had to leave work, go and get her, and am now waiting for him to arrive so I can go back to work. Great impression I've left I'm sure! Have taken the opportunity to have some scrambled egg and beans (free on slimming world) so that should keep me filled up til lunch!
Got a friend coming round tonight, she should have come a couple of weeks ago but it snowed, so will be nice to catch up.
MDS - hope you're ok
Hester - your stories from work are hilarious. Can't believe the engineer said you'd been using the machines too much!0 -
Hi everyone,
Early for me. I've decided not to go to work, I feel shattered so I'm being kind to myself because I had my follow up breast appointment yesterday and had to have a tissue biopsy. Hopefully it will come up clear, all that can be seen is some tiny calcium particles which apparently can be a sign of very early cancer but in most women it isn't. I'll find out next Wednesday but even if it is there isn't a lump so the prognosis should be excellent.
Diva, I hope things are OK.
I'll be taking it easy today - finishing my book and doing my jigsaw, I must take something out of the freezer for dinner.
Might pop back later.0 -
Morning all!
Tis absolutely perishing here today, toes feel numb despite several pairs of socks and thick wellies! Neither the dog nor I wanted to go far today!
Need to pop out and get some more veg, will check out Aldi and Lidl's offers as usual, didn't realise that my little mice had been eating all the carrots, peppers and just about any other veg you can munch raw, I'm pretty certain there was a cauli too, guess that vanished along with the mayo and garlic!
Lunches for the kids today: cheese/ham sarnies, choc muffins, apples, cheese cubes, raisins
My lunch: hm spicy lentil pate, beetroot and hm bread, poss a bit of soup if I'm very hungry!
Dinner: veg fahitas with rice and beans, must sort out a pud too to fill the mice up!
Got to have a tidy round in my room today as kids have abandoned assorted bits in here, shoes, pram, teddies, scarves, drawing stuff, blah blah! Will pop onto their beds so they can't miss it! Then will be baking I think and reading my new cook books. Went into the cheapy shop the other day and picked up Frankie Dettori's cookbook, and Alasdair Hendy one and an Italian one for a couple of pounds each, cheaper than a magazine!
Have a good day all, hugs to those who need them, best get a wiggle on now else I'll still be here at teatime! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
