Doglover, I'm trying Soy Isoflavones (natural version of Clomid - a drug commonly used to help ovulation) this cycle because I ov late, way late. It's always been like that from the beginning, and have gone to the doctors for full check-up re irregular periods, with ultrasound and bloods, but it came out clear. But I wasn't ttc then.

I ov'd on CD40 last cycle, it's like waiting for ov indefinitely while you guys go through 2 cycles. So I decided to take Soy to induce ovulation:D
Well we'll see if it works or not. I'm no doc, so don't take things I say seriously:p

    I'm on CD14 so fingers crossed:cool:

Hi girls (and any men lurking here), I am Honeypop and I will, sometime shortly, be ttc baby no.2.

I have a DS, nearly 1 now, and it took 15 months and 2 cycles of Clomid to get that bfp. My Dr has given me Clomid to start taking on day 2 of my next cycle as he is pretty certain it wouldn't happen 'naturally' this time round either, so I am just waiting for my next cycle to start, and who knows when that might be as my cycle length varies from 32 days to 90+ days!!

Anyway, following that little intro, I am after some info...

Last time round, I was using the fertility friend website to enter my daily info and it was charting my cycle, I would put in my temp, any signs of headache and other things, whether I had baby danced, signs of ewcm etc... and it would tell me when I was likely to ovulate, or when I had done. It was great for also looking back on to see what happened over previous cycles, you could overlay certain ones to compare them and stuff. Looking at it now, it's quite different and it looks like you have to be a member to use this function, and I don't want to pay!

Is anyone still using fertility friend, or is anyone using a similar website where you can input all your daily details and it records it for you to predict ovulation and also to look back on? As my cycle isn't 'normal' some sites I have found that work out when you did/should ovulate are a bit useless as they go for the standard 14 or so dpo.

I think they are more sensitive but not really sure. Im sure that the ICs you need to PIAC (pee in a cup) and dip other than POAS (pee on a stick) :rotfl: dont know why that makes me chuckle but it does.

I personally find it better not to have any preg tests in the house otherwise i am too easily tempted to test early :naughty: but again personal choice.

I'll add you now to the earlier list. Wishing you loads of luck.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the PIAC explanation :). I'll look into those nearer the 19th then. Glad I could help bring on a chuckle for today!

I can see why you suggest not keeping tests at home. I think I just got over excited when we first agreed to TTC. I expect I'll follow your lead once I've used the two I've got. I can imagine it being hard to resist in the future.

Right, I'd better actually do something constructive at home and stop asking all these questions.

I hope you all have a good eve and I might catch ya later. x

Doglover, opks will tell you 12-36 hrs before ov.
It is recommended to BD every other day throughout the cycle.

But sometimes it is hard, or tiring. In which case, something like this could be ideal (my personal thoughts):

    EWCM BD
    OPK+ EWCM
    OPK+ EWCM BD
    OV
    1DPO BD

Thanks (again) QQ. Everything crossed for you (well not every limb crossed ;)!). OPK? Is it ovulation prediction kit?

Welcome HP. I've got something downloaded on my itouch but unfortunately I'm totally sure about it all. Someone far more helpful will be along shortly no doubt.

    TTFN

    Hi and welcome Honeypop!

I use FertilityFriend, but I use the free version, so not much info can be seen on the chart:
    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/286900

But it is enough for me, I just needed a simple chart.

My cycles are irregular, my last cycle was 54 days:beer:
I'm using the 'natural alternative to Clomid' Soy Isoflavones to induce ov this cycle. Hope it works:)

Yeay QQ. Another person monitoring in celcius - I can't fathom farenheit. CD30 for me. 9dpo...still holding off the witch but I have a question...If I come on tomorrow my LP is still too short right? I'd need to be CD1 on Thursday to be out of the danger zone? Vit delivery not been sent yet so stalking the postman each morning til it does.

It's amazing how I'm so busy not able to dtd once OV has past yet that's all that is on my mind that week and running up to it:think:

With af on way that'll be this weekend out too. Hey ho.

Thanks for all the hugs...not sure if I need them but thanks as I'm not feeling down although not sure that it's sunk in...might do an IC tomorrow just to wise up to a BFN - is that weird? It's not like I want to be sad, just to bring me around to AF being iminent rather than implantation. If for some miracle it is a BFP you can all come rub my bfb (big fat belly) for luck. First time nookie at right time hehehehe

Right, better get ready for going back to work..when I'm really ready for my bed.

welcome HP and good luck to the peak DTDer...sorry can't see that far back in post.

Thank you. Off to have a read now. DH already eats pumpin seeds because they are supposed to be good to ward off cold sores.

Ooo thanks...I'll try that! I get evil cold sores on my nose :(

Doglover - I've got some ov tests at home you can have if you pm me your address. Not sure how many I've got left, I'll check later. I dont really need them now I'm using my cbfm. Also, I usually get a slight sharp pain in the general vacinity of my ovaries around ov time so that is something to look out for.

 and good luck to Lucebuttons and Honeypop.

Fanta - I'm peaking, maybe it was me? Thanks for the luck but what we need is a few more hours in the day...it was past midnight by the time we got round to it last night and we need our sleep! The things we'll do for the chance of a sticky bean hey... :rotfl:
