I think i'll have a look about nutrition for conceiving and hopefully it will be well disguised in healthy eating so poor DH doesnt feel any worse. A bit more healthy eating wont do either of us any harm ;)
These are supposed to be good for sperm (Zinc):

Meat, fish, pumpkin seeds, rye, oysters, almonds, brazil nuts, ginger, eggs and leafy greens.

Bamby, hope you'll get your baby soon. Do you know why it took 3 years last time? Was it timing or do you have a special tip?

We tried for two years before going to see our GP. Turned out my partner had a low sperm count but as the relationship started to breakdown at that point I stopped ttc as I didn't want to become a single mum again.

And now over a decade on...new partner (of nine years) and the biological clock is a ticking (I am 38). So we said we will try naturally for 12mths and then maybe look at private IVF if need be.

    Love Bams x

Tad expensive isn't it considering you can get one under £60?
    I assume it includes sticks.

3 might be a good idea if you are really rich, and want to test 3 times a day:cool:

    I lied...it was £252.56.....excluding test strips!!
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:

Moleymoo – wise words, while the TTC thread is good for us to share being in the same boat, it can heighten the obsessiveness factor. As an older TTC I knew that the statistics told us it would take us longer so didn’t see the point of popping off to the docs so soon.
Dusty – I’m sorry you had bad news with you OH’s results, I can only echo what others have said, that these things aren’t static. There’s plenty of advice on lifestyle and diet that can change things, even if it’s only increasing a chance another few percent it could make all the difference
FairyShazza – I do agree it is the one swindle with the CBFM that if you don’t get your peak with your first ten sticks it will insist on you doing 10 more even if the peak comes on stick 11. I still think the machine is fab because it helped me to realise that my ov dates are a moveable feast each month.

How long did you use CBFM for?

    Afternoon ladies,

just a quickie as I'm on lunch and on my phone. (((hugs))) to those that need them.

Moleymoo - don't go. It would be good for everyone if u stuck around. I've been not using contraception since Aug and actively trying since Oct. I actually made an appt to see the gp but he was running late when I got there so I cancelled my appt. Looking back now I'm glad I didn't go ahead and haven't rebooked yet. I want to give myself more time for things to happen au naturel. Plus I want my cbfm moneys worth lol. It does get obsessive ESP when u see others doing diff things and they seem to move along faster. But everything happens for a reason and mother nature likes to rush.

I do stress that diet plays a big role - we all should be looking at eating healthily and sensibly now and during pg to give our beans every chance.

Q - lol. Remember last time? And then u went abroad and we all thought you'd left us lol

Peaks on 9/10, that's amazing. Without CBFM, you may still have been here:p

    Hi, Im new here,
just looking for people in a similar position to me.
Been trying a few months, it took me forever to to get my husband to agree now was a good time, he eventually agreed, then low and behold, its not happening...
This month i feel like ive had allot of symptoms, cramping since ovulation, every day, on 7dpo I woke up in the night with the sharpest stab, when I read up on this i really hoped this could have been implantation, ever since then the cramping has continued, however I also stared to feel nauseas, and was actually sick on 11dpo which took me by surprise! Nothing since though, although do feel a bit off..
    I tested on:
    9dpo - BFN
    11DPO - BFN
    13 DPO - BFN
    14 DPO - BFN
today is 14 DPO but the cramps have certainly stepped up a level and feel exactly like they usually would on day 28 - 30 so im out again i suppose,
has anyone had al this but still been pregnant?
  • Welcome, Luce. Please don't get your hopes up, though. Look forward to next cycle and anything this cycle will be a bonus.
