    Evening Ladies,

    Welcome new TTC'ers :j

sheloveshimsomuch - There's different theories flying round. You could read one article that says to BD every 2-3 days to allow more time for the sperm to build up and improve its quality. Then you could read another article that says that's complete tosh and theres no harm in bd'ing every day. So really, just go with what suits you and your OH best. I think if I tried to pin my OH down every day for bd'ing he'd have a heart attack!!! Every other day seems to fit in well with him, so we'll stick to that I think!

CD12 for me and got my third "high". So dtd already today :D

So far we dtd on CD10 (high) and today (high). I'm expecting to get "peak" tomorrow and doubt I will be able to resist the opportunity to get a bd in. DH not working tomorrow night (watching football instead ), so I may get lucky!

    Hope everyone is well.

Hugs and sticky baby dust to all x

PS - MV - Oh, ok go on then. You can have the first CBFM BFP :p:D Just make sure you pass them around to the rest of us when you do :)
  • Well (at the risk of sounding like a woman with a problem:D) as my OH is only here 2 weeks out of 4, we tend to do it every day that he is here, often more than once, so maybe this is the reason I am not concieving? I never thought too much BD'ing would be a bad thing!:rotfl:

It's all swings and roundabouts. There have been ladies on here who bd'd every day and got pregnant, and ladies who only dtd once or twice in the month and also got preggers. There's really no logic to it. This is the crazy world of ttc :rotfl:

But if I was you, and my OH was willing I'd prob be bd'ing every day for 2 weeks too :D

Thankyou! Are they worth the money? I see a few people are using them.

There are a few of us who will be able to let you know in the next few weeks :D

This may sound a very personal question, but can I ask if there is a scientific reason why if you don't DTD every day? I mean surely there is a greater chance of concieving if you do? Or am I misinformed:o?

I know Prof Robert Winston (a specialist in this area) recommends every other day, I also show a video called The Great Sperm Race during the year 7 reproduction unit and it advises the same thing (without digging it out and checking I think it was to do with sperm count). It's actually quite a good video to watch if you are TTC as it describes a lot of the little changes that happen around ovulation.

Hello again all. I have had a whole heap of blood tests now to see why I am still bleeding most days. All results were fine. I came off Depo last summer and Dr reckons it should be out of system now and certainly nothing strange on results. So I have to have a scan now to look for some mechanical reason for the bleeding. What fun.

I am using OPKs every day I am not bleeding and nothing as yet. Pretty sure I am not OV'ing as I used to have symptoms when TTC previous 2.

hi i'm about to start these tests again, had them about 4 years ago when i had a 10mth period, and getting them all over again. Fingers crossed they can sort me out this time.

Hello again! Thanks for all the advice last week, unfortunately I was just late so the BFN was right :( Hoping for better luck this month :)

Just looking at all the talk about CBFM and am very tempted but couldn't afford one in the shops. They seem to be from £50 on ebay (some new and sealed ones at about this). Just wondered (as I'm not quite sure how they work) would anyone buy one on ebay?? I'm put off by the idea that someone else's wee would be in a used one, but is that right or does it just touch the test sticks??

Thanks, and sorry to have more questions!!
    Em xx

People here are getting it from here:

£58.99 incl delivery. You need 4 batteries (one of those thin ones used in tv remotes I think), and test sticks as well.

    I haven't bought one yet, but I'm tempted too:D

This is where I got mine. Ordered Wed evening and it arrived on Friday. I figure I will sell it on ebay once I'm done with it and get some of the money back :money:.
Em - The wee stays inside the test stick, not the machine itself so a used one in good condition should be ok.
