@Maddie - thanks for the info there. Everything you describe is me down to a t. I don't know if you saw my post from this morning - I went to the docs and while I was there I mentioned I went wheat free. He seemed to be recommending that I don't give up wheat while being PG, although he didn't say it outright. I've made the decision to reintroduce some wholemeal pasta once a week and have toast occasionally. See what happens.

Are you drinking lots? My docs keep stressing about drinking. I've also kept a food and drink and symptom diary since about August. I haven't found any obvious trigger foods (I seemed to get ill after a greasy takeway - yet I had another week of takeways at work when working late and I was fine!). By keeping a diary it helps to make sure I'm drinking enough. I found when I started there were days where I was only having 4 cups of tea all day.

Why is everyone so in to chocolate today????? I've got weeks to go before I can have any. Roll on Easter Sunday.

So, DH is back. Stressed and tired and dodging arguing and sorting things. We've been out for a meal and are about to have a bath (nothing new as we have a double one so we have that more than showers).
I'm so tempted just to forget stuff happened but I know that's not the way long term...but they say luck comes in 3's.

    1) Tuesday - I cycle 20 miles to/from work and win a Green and Blacks Organic Easter egg in a raffle (Oh, the irony)

    2) Thursday - I check my emails and found I've won a competition....not one of the junk usual ones but a genuine one. And, it's just unreal. I ff, will be the proud owner of a Mulberry handbag. OMG I KNOW!

    3) Now, maybe DTD and get PG as I'm still on high on the CBFT CD16 and no eggy yet or....do I win the Euromillions tomorrow or the Lotto on Saturday. If no DTD tonight then maybe I'll be able to afford IVF if I win.

Ok, back to reality. Just happy to not be alone tonight and happy in my thoughts of lovely handbaginess.

Hope lots of you conceive babies and get BFPs this weekend :):):):):):)

On the dentist thing, last time I went, I needed a crown. She said "you're not pregnant are you as this will cost you £200". I said I was trying and she put me a temp one in for free.

No pressure (?) but if we don't get preggers it'll cost me £200 next trip to the dentist!

About this free dentist thing if your PG...I read it has to be on the NHS. Is that right?

I don't even have a dentist (not been in 12 years - yeah I know...). I didn't think you could get an NHS dentist anymore.

So if my teeth were to disintegrate I wouldn't get free dentist?

    ...

OK just googled and found this (taken from babycentre http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/isitsafeto/fillingsdentistexpert/):
If you are not currently registered with a dentist, and can't find a dentist who is willing to give you free National Health Service (NHS) treatment, contact your local primary care trust. They are obliged to find you a dentist in your area who can provide NHS treatment, although it may not be the dentist nearest to you. The number should be in your phone book, or your local doctor's surgery can give it to you.

Now off to google my local primary care trust whatever that is.

If anyone is in the same position as me and doesn't have an NHS dentist:

Found this: http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/AboutNHSservices/dentists/Pages/overview.aspx There's a search on the right and when you go through there is a phone number to call for if you have problems finding an NHS dentist.

I like camomile tea, I have a cup every night before bed. It really knocks me out!
Since I've given up caffeine, I take Rooibos tea:cool:

    Hi giz and maddie
Have you guys been diagnosed by the GP at all? They should be taking you through a range of treatments to get the IBS under control; I had a whole battery of test to rule out other things before the default diagnosis of IBS.

I'm currently on Fybogel (soluble fibre) for alternating symptoms, you can get it over the counter and it's safe for ttc. At the other end of the scale I have some friends on anti-depressants as they do something to help relax the nerves involved.

I was told not to cut anything out completely, especially not dairy which is one of my triggers, I just have to find the level that I can tolerate. I just can't cope with ordinary bread, so it might be the yeast, I'm fine with pasta and flat breads.
  • Hope everyone is ok this evening...nearly Friday :)

I've been ss'ing like mad..was feeling queasy and dizzy on the way home from work...mind you that's more than likely down to the massive slice of cake I ate earlier!

I've not been diagnosed yet. Everytime I go to the doctors I see someone different and have to go through it all again. I've been tested for coeliacs and other stuff. All negative. I had the flexi sigmoidoscopy in Dec (that was the most painful thing I've ever had done - 100 x worse than a smear) and got a letter recently saying the biopsy came back normal. I see the consultant about the flexi sig at the end of this month. Hopefully he's got some next steps other than telling me to drink more and high fibre diets.

I also take Fybogel (usually for a week leading up to my period).

The doc today gave me a prescription for Mavicol. I've had this before when I didn't poo for 4 or 5 days. It's disgusting, but it did work. I don't want to take it on a daily basis as he's suggested though.

What other tests did you have?

Back to the baby stuff, I'm CD7 and looking forward to BDing next week. I started practicing with my dilators again. I've been really bad and haven;t used them since my fertile period which must be 3 weeks ago now. I have to stick with this if I want effortless BDing.

I've also spent the evening reading the pregnancy's best kept secrets thread
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=251468
If that doesn't scare me, nothing will :)

@fantafan - congrats on your wins! Do you enter a lot of comps?
