Are eggs safe to eat whilst TTC? Ive just had some scrambled eggs and when clearing up after I noticed they were a day past the expiry date. Oops

Hi Dusty, yea, there's still a possibility AF may not arrive, but, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much! lol. Better to expect her, and then find she doesn't arrive but a bfp does right? lol. That's my warped way of thinking anyway!
Seen you're toying with going to NY? I say book it! I went about 6 years ago with my ex - we stayed in a great hotel called Hotel 41 at Times Sq if you need a recommendation - I'd love to go back with OH, but obv that's out of the window if we have a little one. We're both 30 this year so have tried talking him into going to celebrate, but, not getting anywhere yet! It's an amazing place - book it, and you have something to look forward to, if you get preg in the mean time, then thats great! and you can work on sorting the holiday out when that time comes

Hi Gizmodo & Sammy, I'm not entirely sure when I'm expecing AF. In short - I came off my pill in June last year, and didnt have any periods after. In Nov/Dec I got fed up of waiting and went for acupuncture to try and get them back as wanted to start TTC - I didnt even know if we could conceive while I wasnt having periods - or if I was OVing. Anyway, all was great, had 2 periods - albeit being a 51 day cycle, but, I've stopped my sessions as of this week as 1, I cant afford it, and 2, i feel that we're trying too hard so early in our TTC journey if you know what I mean. If I had a 28-ish day cycle I'd be due AF today, and I have all the cramps to say she's on her way, but, if I don't have the acu to force it I don't know if she'll arrive so to speak, so we'll see..... Been ss-ing for the last 2 weeks tho, so got my hopes up, but we'll see. If she hasn't arrived by Wed, I reckon I'll test again.....

We'll see although I doo feel decidedly knackered today and cba'd to do anything but that could just be coz I'm home alone:p Oh and I'm eating for england coz I have a funny feelign in my stomach which I thought was hunger but after half a loaf of bread turns out its not:think:and its a feeling I had last time I was pg..........but I'm not ssing :whistle:

I hope so I've been eating loads of eggs. I have been having them more cooked though.

In normal circumstances eating an egg past its best before date isn't a problem. I eat eggs a week or more past their best before, although it's rare for there to be any eggs left in my fridge.

You can also test an egg by putting it in water. If it sinks, it's good, if it floats it's definitely bad.

Good luck everyone who is about to test...BFP's all round hopefully.

CD 4 for me, AF still in full flow and HEAVY..I was warned it probably would be the first time after my MC.

Dosing myself up on folic acid and OH on multi vits with lots of zinc ready for round 2

Going out tonight for a friends birthday, and letting myself have a few glasses of vino at the moment as am going to knock it on the head again come next week in readiness for ttc again.
