not particularly right? Honestly, do you always go on holiday and break the law. If that person with the sheet and handbag was a cop, you'd not be back in the UK yet. Seriously, it is ILLEGAL.

Maybe I'm just a law abiding citizen, and stick to shops that sell goods in a normal retail environment, rather than breaking laws of countries I don't live in.

If other people want to buy illegal goods, that should be their choice, we should not be advising or helping people on forums "not to get ripped off". We should be pointing them down the legal routes to get a cheap handbag.

Christ does it matter, you've never bought a blag cd,copy lacoste, etc, etc or downloaded something that you should pay for.

Theres more going on than someone buying a knock off handbag
Official MR B fan club, dont go............................
  • Probably it was a good thing the bag was knock off as the £145 limit would kick in ! (Not 100% sure as I am not a handbag buyer) But I think it would have been safer at C21. It's like cameras/electronic gear is best purchased at shops like B&H or Best Buy etc. As M says be a bit careful advertising things on the web........You never know who's reading !

Customs officials in UK airports are lazy, so lazy they don't even bother to pretend to be bothered what you bring in.

    Long may it continue :D

Then when you check in and they ask to see some i.d they will say "but his birthday was 5 days ago"
ID for a complimentary box of choccies?? :p

Alot of people do go for birthdays and it cant always to the day of birthday but you're still going for the persons birthday so if the hotel does give complimentary gifts for bdays I cant see it being a problem 5 days imo.

Yes let us know how you get on Maria :j

is it 2 people? in December? I don't think I could get even close, flights in December normally stretch to about £400 each, so you've got only £200 left for a hotel. Or was it £1000 per person..

    M

Sorry, meant to clarify that was per person :)

Can i just add my ten penneth - I think you should look for hotels outside of Manhattan. You'll get a lot more for your money.

Brooklyn is good, at the end of the day you'll be getting the sub so why not get it anyway, so get it from your hotel.

You really have no idea what you are talking about, I think what you actually mean is we dont usually have time to deal with wanna be robin hoods, far bigger fish to fry and all that

If you ever see an officer in the channels reading a paper please feel free to either take pics and post them on here
