Anyone with any recent experience of immigration at JFK T7 ? We land at 7.05pm - we are flying First Class with BA, so will be off the plane very quickly.

Rough time in a car to Times Square at that time of evening ? I'm going to prebook a towncar rather than get a taxi.

Similarly, on the return, rough time in a taxi from Time Square to JFK T7 for an 8pm flight. We'd prefer to arrive around 3hr before departure to have dinner in the lounge before take off.

Any thoughts are welcomed - thanks.

    Nice :)
We tend to leave at 1500 for a 1940 flight. Usually arrive just before 1600 or even quicker! Enjoy the delights of the lounge...!!
    When are you going?

    Whoops more to come!Jana x

    Sounds wonderful :)
    How about:
    FAO Schwartz
    The Apple Store
I really enjoyed New York river taxi hop on hop off (did it in December and it was still great!) great views of the statue of Liberty.
Go to Union Square they can have some acts in the square which can be entertaining.

Thanks again everyone for the great advice.

We'll DEFINITELY do the Ghostbusters buildings, thanks for the tip. So easy if one is near to the Highline. No, you're not too old: and the film doesn't date either, my two love it.

Good tip about Union Square. Someone at work recommended it today too. Please tell me there are no silver-painted human statues? We have two in our small town already!

Forgot to mention that FAO Schwartz is on the list too. Watching Big this weekend for a reminder (or am I getting my huge pianos muddled up?)

Oddly enough, his acrophobia is fine on planes. Now, the stairs / gangway up to the plane door might be another thing altogether....

There might be one or two maybe not silver... they really freak me out!

When I was there I watched a group with drums and the man somersaulted over about 7 people or so. Good fun :)

Do your boys like shopping/trainers? There is a converse store in Soho.
Oh there is also a cinema in Union Square if you fancy doing that.

Yep, we found out they had a small office in our local John Lewis so we popped in today, she said prices had gone down since the weekend, best deal we could get in respect of our needs, it looks lovely. We just need to plan the trip now....
