  • 100% right, you have to use priceline.com and not priceline .co.uk to book USA hotels.
    Great savings btw.

THIS site may be of use to some people. I had a cancellable reservation booked at the Marriott Financial Center at $239 per night (in case my Priceline bidding comes to nothing) and found the same nights at $175 per night. I cancelled and re-booked at the cheaper rate, which is also cancellable up to the day before arrival.

    Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately, there's no good rates for the dates that I'm travelling :(

    Mariott on hotwire* = £101/night
Mariott on priceline.com (name your own price) = £55/night

*hotel name deduced, since it is the only 4 star in the area.

Which area is that? And which Marriott?

Sorry to feed the troll but Stupidspender, you really are talking absolute crap. I've used Priceline.co.uk's 'Name Your Own Price' system to book hotels in USA and Canada before and in a few weeks will hopefully be doing so again, for my trip to New York.

Oh and by the way, Hotwire is not a sister site of Priceline. They are independent and competing 'opaque' providers.

  • No you have not ! you been directed by hypertext link to Priceline.com from priceline.co.uk a little like following a search result from google, the exact same method, hypertextlink.Get your facts right before starting throwing insults around!
https://www.priceline.co.uk IS EUROPEAN ONLY give them a call on 08000 111314 and ask !!!!!!!
This is what they say on the homepage

"Priceline offers great deals on hotels. Priceline has a wide selection of hotels, guest houses and bed and breakfast accommodation across Europe. Priceline shows hotel reviews and ratings by independent travellers."

Just what is the debate its simple fact that that site only sells Euro hotels! have the lunatics taken overthis thread?
Go and look at the home page its simple?
I get the feeling that the same person is posting this rubbish as I can not really believe three people don’t know when they are being redirected by hypertext link to an overseas site when booking USA hotels!

To book with priceline in the US use this this link
    http://www.priceline.co.uk/pcln/usa

Then click the try our partners at priceline.com. Then you can bid in GBP and use a UK address. It worked for me!
  • Thank god someone sane posts, 100% correct you have to use the hypertext link on priceline.co.uk to take you to priceline.com just as polar says.
    Thank you.

i will post the hypertext link below you talk about in your post so every can see its priceline.com you book USA hotels through and not priceline.co.uk!¬

Well goodluck buying a Newyork hotel on priceline.co.uk as it only sells Eroupean hotels?????????????
Thats why i presumed you was talking about priceline.com, and like i say you have to have a address in the USA or Canada to use that site!

So do you concede that, by this means, a UK citizen can in fact use Priceline to book a hotel in the US?
