Would also work fine, but Puppy (in my experience anyway) is that bit more complicated to update and install programs on, down to it's reliance on .pup packages. (OK, it can use others, but it's a pain)
Actually, the latest versions of Puppy are a lot happier working with packages for other distros. It's only been a couple of months that the Puppy Package Manager has offered this extra functionality, but it seems to have taken off.Not used xpud, as I'm not a Firefox user and have no desire for an OS based around it

I can't remember which version I have on my USB stick. I think it's 4.2.
