Bit like the husks from wheat... pillows aren't cheap though - see here for an example (I don't think mine was this expensive!)

Box of pens now packed up :D ready to post on Monday...

    Hi all,

    Happy Birthday Master W i hope you're having a great day.:j

We've been to McDonalds, shoe shopping and food shopping. I persuaded OH that it would be a good idea if he took Ds2 home with him so me and Ds1 could do the food shopping.;) It was nice just the two of us, we don't get much time alone together, he was a great help as well.

Yeah for Soappie. I owed them lots which cleared the business savings account :(. Depressingly it will be much better next year.

We got our mattress from memory foam warehouse (quidco) which came with free pillows, but the brilliant one is from Aldi and was c£9.

I keep meaning to say Happy Birthday Master W!

You have all been busy flyers today!

We have continued decluttering today. Lots of old car gibble has gone to the tip and I have sorted dozens of cds to their respective owners.

They did complain as I read each one out of my mammoth pile as they (sons) were trying to watch TV. My desk is clearer now:)

greenbee All your decluttering is using up loads of calories! I am doing more steps each day!

It's definitely helping, although a proper walk would have been better (I was hoping for 5 or 6 miles today...). Hopefully I'll make my target, but I think I might need to do another quick walk or two round the block this evening again to get there! I certainly won't make the aerobic target.

As well as the pens, I've packed up some christmas presents to post. I was supposed to see the family they're for before Christmas, and then in the New Year, but snow got in th way. I'm not keeping it all till the end of Feb, which is when I'm due to see them again! I'll pack up another lot if I don't see another friend tomorrow... I'd rather just get them out of the way.

Glad the decluttering is going well. Could you temporarily disable the TV? :p:D I hope you're feeling the benefits of the space as well as the extra steps!

  • courgette nice to see you back and I hope you will keep better - dont be over doing it now!!!
nutty get someone else to take the vacuum upstairs for you - better still get them to do the vacumming as well - it wont hurt them!!!!!
greenbee thats what you get for slacking, chatting on here too much, too much CBA, too much porcrastination (been there got the t-shirt so i knows what i is taling about:D):rotfl::rotfl: seriously what is the point of packing up stuff from the study only for it to sit in boxes - get flinging and sorting and it wont be nearly so bad. Dont you dare leave all the work until next weekend:eek:
Hex :T:T:T that will save you a little
helen could you sleep on just the mattress so that you could get the bed dismantled the day before - it would save you a lot of hassle?
Jo you are cold because you are tired - try to do some of the half finished stuff and dont leave things half done again you naughty flybaby - you are only a baby - 30th birthday for goodness sake - hmph!!! tis not fair:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
1 step :eek::eek::eek::eek: 11 miles - no sorry I am unavailable tomorrow so I cant manage - pity that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
sexy some of the memory foam beds have a winter and a summer side - is there anybody that has one that you could try a whole night because its a whole lot different than a sprung one!
FFP how worrying - thank goodness it was ok in the end - hope you feel better soon honey (((hugs)))
Dora thank goodness your friend is ok but what a shame about all her hard work - sounds like your place must be gleaming - regarding the books to A&E - I think its a great idea but maybe you should ask - a lot of places like A&E, waiting rooms etc have done away with books, magazines, toys etc to keep down the infection risk following the swine flu outbreaks. if not the hospital what about the nursery - i dont think they are quite so strict.
soappie that will be a nice bonus when it comes:T

been out to visit NOF this afternoon - that was fine but getting there was a nightmare as one of our main access streets was shut due to a small gas explosion and there was a home football match so everywhere was gridlocked - thank goodness it was all over by the time I was coming home.

got some washing dried outside and when i got home I tidied up the sticks(chopped up skirting boards) that were round the back and got them stacked up to keep them drier until my brother can collect them and swept the path - was a bit out of puff after ....oops!!!

    tea - time
    see you later
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Not too bad I suppose. I have done all the washing and ironing and made a list for the decluttering mission..............which could take a very long time!
I am just about set for tomorrow but doubt I will post as I will be shattered when I get back. Sure you dont want to come Toots? I have room in my rucksack for water and goodies! lol
Already planned to put chicken in SC tomorrow before going and we'll have that and baked potato and brocolli.
Bath and early night for me I think!
Take care all, enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you Monday.
