Incidentally, just so we're clear on what HPC predicted, they predicted that HPI in the UK would result in a correction? Is that right?0

I think the clue's in the URL, ...brunopowroz...0 -

Again, clue's in the URL ...housepricecrash...
More than one on there didn't understand that the historic measure of low house prices was three time mean male earnings, not median male and female earnings as they continually tried to suggest would happen.0 -
They tried, through, a forum to crash house prices for their own gains. They were, at times, orgasmic about price drops.
I'm happy that they never lost that amount thanks to GB and all the money pumped into the economy, thanks.
It could have been a lot worse and lasted much longer!

I don't know why you guys get so upset about HPC, it's only a forum. Much better over here - less things to get upset about and lots of nice boards to discuss knitting, electronics or Tesco coupons. Pull up a chair, relax, switch the old brain off and enjoy being a part of the best forum in the world.0

I agree - in the most part this board isn't so grim - HPC is all encompassed and yet here you can get hints on how to make better, cheaper gravy!, How to deal with difficult family members, how to leave your lover and discipline your kids, fairly. How to feed the dog and how to get your nets whiter than white.
All in one click of the button! Thank Martin for this forum:D0 -

And here's me thinking it was a global banking crisis because of the effects of securitised "toxic" debt derived from reckless lending in the US which led to a more or less dead stop in lending and a general collapse in confidence, both of which removed demand and caused prices to drop.
Shows what I know.
Of course if the crash wasn't derived from UK specific problems then we might expect house prices to recover as banks start lending again. But obviously that hasn't happened. Well not everywhere anyway. Well not in Carol's street at least.
Fortunately, since banks are now lending on the basis of male income only (women, know your place!) we'll soon be back to 1920s prices. Hurrah for those lovely hpc people who made it all possible!0
