You may not care that visitors to HPC are being given such poor one sided advice that has no veracity, but some of us do.

I suspect a lot of people visit both sites for a balanced view, filter out the nutters and make up their own minds.

No-one on MSE would even have heard of HPC if it weren't for you and the other rejects continually mentioning it. You mugs are giving a website, you clearly hate, free publicity but are too dumb to realise it.

I think you would have though. Aren't you one of the welcome members over there?

Whoever said there is no such thing as bad publicity clearly did so before Gerald Ratner.

And why we not be bitter about such a one sided site whose arguments clearly have no veracity and are trying to mislead people concerning the most expensive purchase they will ever make. Taking the poor advice on there would outweigh all the good advice on here put together.

Another plug for HPC. They'll be delighted. For people who apparently detest HPC so much you all do a great job of increasing interest in it. A bit of an own-goal that.

One of the government`s targets is to stay in power. If house prices were to fall 25% over an election term, I`m pretty sure that would have an effect on the public`s choice at the ballot box.

This financial crisis is way beyond the control of any Government. The issue for powers to be if anything is how to deflate the bubble slowly. As the greatest danger is currently to the banks if property prices were to go into freefall. There's no more ammunition left in the locker to support the banking system.

That's all good but the bile oozes out of every posting they make on here though. I just hope that some day they can leave all the bitterness behind and move on with their lives. I fear we have a long wait.

From where I'm standing fella there only looks like one person full of bitterness. :rotfl:

My biggest problem with HPC is the fact that they have no real game plan for a housing crash. They just hate and want everyone even moderately successful to lose their shirt. I used to hit them with fair arguments and instead of answering or even admitting I was right they chose to ban me and get on with their back patting idiotic views without being disturbed.

I'd love to be able to post this one on there.

    Are you ready? :)

Right, on one hand they say to anyone thinking about investing in a buy to let. 'Don't do it. Armageddon, you'll lose every penny you have, get repossessed, negative equity etc etc'.

OK, if that's what they think fine.

However, you then read about a 100 more threads started saying ' Greedy landlords, bought house for 70k now wants 200k, had to go to a house party and endure hosts telling me they had made 100k on their house and did I like the new 4x4 on the driveway?'

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

They can't have it both ways.
Why? So you can brag that your house is worth about £10k more than when you bought it 3 years ago. Score!
What I find amusing Sibley is that you have exactly the same attitude as the HPC loons, just that you have the opposite VI. What is sad, is that you don't seem to realize it.

Oh I realize it don't worry.
I object when a group of societies failures knock hardworking people. The bitterness is only going to get worse for them now with rises coming.

  • The hpc lot are a strange crowd. I think Harry Powell said it best with:
So many bears on here and HPC fail to see the dichotomy of wanting to see house prices fall because they're desperate to buy a house

Why comment on a thread titled Any HPC people here if you are that bent out of shape with it all?
