TEPILO is here. Estate agents be very afraid

Options
I read about this site in the telegraph and have just been looking around. No estate agent required. It is most definitely the way to go re buying and selling houses. Wonderful site

It looks really good especially after uploaded lots of pics but NO enquries whatsoever for me after being on there for six months so now taken off. Yet through my EA I had had 3/4 viewings every week. So my opinion is it looks pretty but really is pretty rubbish.

    Really? Sure?

"It is most definitely the way to go re buying and selling houses."

    Why?

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm borderline on clicking the Spam button.....

    Stop dithering and DO it;)
  • Lots of synicism out there!

Could these replies by from EA??

Well its certainly getting publicity for Sarah!

My opinion is it doesnt hurt to advertise your property for sale/rent - especially when ITS FREE !!!!

As people get to know about it surely it will get more popular and people will look at it / add their property, isn't that how anything starts??

I dont see the problem with this thread - isn't the point of a Forum to share information and not just to moan/ ask stupid questions / send sarcastic replies to put your twopence worth in etc etc

Yes , there is cynicism, because your original post reads like a sales pitch.

It's an internet forum, so I'd suggest you get used to "replies to put your twopence worth in " - this goes with the territory.

Not my original post but I put one on yesterday! - wasnt a sales pitch, just information.

I'm not actually trying to sell the wesbite .... just my home !!

Still don't see what the problem is - we talk about Rightmove ALL the time.

    ...but here's another twopence-worth

WHY should any agent 'be very afraid'?

Is there any reason to suppose, other than ms Beeny's higher public profile, that this site will last any longer than other 'sell your own home' sites which have started, had little activity, then closed shortly after?

For me, spam is put there by someone profiting from it. In this case, I don't think IMadeMyOwnLuck is actually connected to the site, so I won't click 'spam'. I don't think we should be using the spam button for threads which merely annoy us but do not pass the profit test.

It is interesting to me to see the site in question, but I am left completely cold by the Sarah Beeny connection - and I think there is scope for a worthwhile discussion.
