Today, I am putting the icing on the Christmas cake.
Yesterday, I baked 30 mince pies. I have now sent 12 to a family member who is in hospital. = Seasons greetings and to pass on some goodwill :0)The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

In fact I beleive he thinks that all of Christmas just appears, as he ends up being very OS with only my prezzies to buy - hey ho, sure I,m not the only 'Christmas Fairy' making it all happen - well more like Mavis CruetNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

I have made a Spiced Orange and Cranberry Bread.
I love a nice Panetonne at Christmas - but this year decided that I would bake my own Festive Bread instead.
It is a 'simple' enriched loaf....ie there is an egg added, and joghurt (which I make myself) ......then I added some mixed spices with the flour....after the first rise/knock-back(or the initial beep on a Bread Maker!) I added dried cranberries which had been soaked in the juice of an orange and also added the chopped zest of the orange (raisins could easily be used in place of cranberries)
Delicious!0 -
