HI,
I got a letter the same as scarednshakin from Egg. I've followed the link and read the thread (all 101 pages of it) but I'm still confused.
Should I just ignore this recent letter from Egg until Friday and the court case?
Thanks in advance.

They've already had that letter. The above was their most recent response to it.
Shall happily ignore them for now. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick pointer over there Nid.
I've fried my brain on all those pages!!
Looks like we have to wait on the judges decision when he finally calls it!!
BUT if he does agree that time to time is ok (to put it short) then what about the other factor of no interest shown only apr?
Looks like you understood it all much better than me, I gave up trying to get my head around it, could you explain it in simple english for me. I know it's no excuse but I am blonde and femaleRainbowLiberty0 -

here it is in simple terms, i can post the issue and argument now the case is heard.
On the early agreement it states
Purchases and balance transfers put on the account before 1 march 2004 we will charge the rate of 0% and there after at the rate of 1.39%; and otherwise at 1.39%
Now, read the clause properly, it tells you that if you buy on the 20th Feb 2004, then upto the 1st march you will be charged 0% and after it transfers to 1.39% , so in effect we have the before and after scenario
now then, the otherwise provision, this deals with any purchase you make once the promotion is expired.
no where on the agreement does it tell you the rate that will be charged for cash withdrawals0 -
Glad I came across this page. Been paying an old, old egg card debt off through Bryan Carter for quite some time - little more than a token payment. Back in March I sent them a CCA request & Bryan Carter responed saying they'd put my account on hold until Egg had dealt with it. At the end of last week I received the CCA copy & found this thread. I've now sent the copy of the letter from page 1 (slightly amended to include some other issues I found on CAG) & am awaiting a response. I'll let ou all know what happens...In need of a new signature! :rotfl:0

No you're not being thick lol, that post has nothing much to do with the court case result based around the term "approved limit" that we're looking for....2010 - year of the troll
