I'll be FAFFing with the football from 7.30.

It's really hard tonight. I just went to visit my darling SIL in hospital. She's much older than me and had a horrible stroke about 10 days ago. She was looking forlorn and can't speak. It sounds selfish but I was dreading going. Whatever you do don't google strokes.

It should have been sobering but I really fancy a stiff drink. However, I'm here with a big mug of tea and will do my best to stay with you all.

  • Welcome all newbies. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I have had the following song running thru my head the last couple of days 'Im a faffer I'm a faffer, and it does me good as it bloody well should' Usually it's im a w..k..r but I prefer my faffing version.

Bells big time tonight...tired and angry (well peeved) DS said in a loud voice in supermarket...Do you want a bottle of vodka?...wind up merchant. I was tempted to say 'Yes so I can wrap it round your head' but i controlled myself.

Hugely long day tomorrow so hopefully an early night and a good nights sleep for me tonight.

    3 Faffs please Fay.

Maman Sorry to hear that.Sending hugs and well done you for managing with just tea.

Thanks also for your earlier post. The restlessness and pacing are
something I experience and glad to know it gets better.

Welcome to Phoenix_dragon and NJW69
You're doing great NJW69 - resisting the itch tonight and 4 days in a row.

Jo - thanks for the tip on the Living Sober book

I'm not FAFFing tonight. I'm off to try out a "social group" tomorrow so will
be FAFFing there. Find it much harder at home!

Anyway, love to all and have a FAFFing good evening.

    DB

Oh and PBT Good on you for resisting the vodka and being polite too!

OOps Jsut realised it was Fay who recommended the book - Ta!
