Just turned the mobile off guys.

Now she's just rang my landline.. Unbelievable.

I'm seriously considering changing my numbers. Sounds extreme, but I've had enough, and I will do anything to stay sober :-/

You sound like the worst possible combination. You struggling with alcohol addiction her co-dependant.

This is abit of amateur pshycology here but I'm guessing that if you were well she wouldn't find you so interesting. Therefore to keep you 'unwell' is beneficial to her. She's not nasty just co-dependant.

I think tomorrow you have some tough talking to do but you already say you are not in love with her, so it sounds like the right time to split. The money can be sorted....later.

    That's very incisive mate!

    I completely agree.

Especially what you say about "if you were well she wouldn't find you so interesting. Therefore to keep you 'unwell' is beneficial to her. She's not nasty just co-dependant"

Really f*cking with my head this tonight :(

Not good Leigh. Stay strong. Is she aware she has a problem or does she think this is normal behaviour. Maybe you can cut a deal tomorrow.....print her off some info maybe. You get help, she gets help, you compare notes in a years time? I'm a hopeless romantic, and a great believer if things were meant to be they will be.....so if this is the mutual love of your lives it still be there in a years time. If not then you both untangled yourself just in time .

Go to bed Leigh, let your landline and mobile go to voicemail. 365(??) is right, sort it out in the cold light of day when she's sober. If the relationship's not right for you then just sort out the money thing separately. Whatever you do, don't use it as an excuse to drink (finding excuses to drink is the easiest thing in the world and I'm sure we've covered most of them on this thread over the year!!!!).

    And:T:T:T for not drinking tonight.

    Thanks guys.

I'd gone back to bed this afternoon, missed the lovely sunshine, and now my body clock's all over the place!

Just about to jump in bath, have a wash and shave, take a beta blocker, and try and get some sleep / get up about 6.30 am :-)

Just feel panicked by her behaviour..also, by the £1,500 I owe her.

That's on top of the £9k unsecured debts + £12 student loans.

About 15 minutes ago, I found out (via the debt board on here), that I won't be eligible for a Debt Relief Order, due to the student loans.

    I never realised this :-/

Apparently, even though they're not written off with the DRO, they will push me over the £15k threshold, so I'm erm b*ggered.

Lost my job last October due to drinking and depression / anxiety.

No job, dysfunctional relationship (or whatever it was called), and I hardly even go out, now I'm not drinking. Feel quite empty, and quite sad :-/

I am going to the AA meeting tomorrow though (Saturday), to see some lovely people :-)

I've also sold a jacket on Ebay, and am using the money to buy a cheap mountain bike with. Sod the debts for 2 more weeks. I need a motivation to get out and about, and the bike will help with that.

    Cheers,

    Sim x
