I think people are very transitory on threads, not just this one. I know I've joined in on other threads only to drift away after a while. And, as we all know, its easy to come onto this thread after a heavy/bad drinking session and be very gung ho about cutting down/stopping. But, long term, peoples views start to change. And sometimes life gets in the way!
But lets hope all previous posters are ok, happy, and getting on with thier lives.

:T Well done samandsheryl that's great news.

Obviously everyone uses the boards in different ways. Posting/reading can be helpful and supportive but I think we all know that any individual will only give up/cut down when they are ready. And remember the message at the top of the page

Does anyone have any tips for cleaning the inside bit of the washing maching door? The rubber seal type bit *shruggy smiley really needed here!*

Hello, it's been ages since I posted but will be catching up slowly....hope everyone is well.

I'm doing OK-ish, still drinking most days but in a social way and trying not to go mad..I met this gorgeous man through mutual friends who now lives with me, we're very happy and are even discussing having kids so I want to get happy and AF - the two go together as booze cancels out my antidepressants. :smileyhea

His father is an alcoholic and they don't really speak now so I don't want him to think that I might be the same. He looks after me really well so I am sure I can keep on the straight and narrow.

    :A

Right off to do some serious reading....
    AF days in Feb 2010 - 2 :A

Sorry, didn't mean to sound judgmental. Was just trying to say why some people may not post anymore - they may just be elsewhere.:( Guess I just worded it wrong.
