  • hi all

Not been around for a couple of days - did have a drink on Friday and Saturday - but nothing too scary!

Am AF again tonight and going to try to remain so until next Friday - so think I am on 13 AF days please Shaggy.

Haven't managed to catch up on all news over past few days - but hugs to all.

115K - I think we must be neck and neck - let's keep it up!
I went out for a meal on Friday evening which I thought might feel weird but it was absolutely fine - drank lime and soda and I'm sure I enjoyed the food more than I would have done than if I had been half-cut.
I'm going to try and tidy my garden a bit today and try to keep busy.
Hope everyone has a good day.

    Well done on the AF-ness.:)

  • Welcome Pink Princess. Jump on in!

I have had a fab weekend. Took my mum for a posh afternoon tea in London for her 70th bday and have been out for a lunch today with my brother and family. Lunch was a pub one and wasn't even tempted at all.

I think i've nailed the going out bit i.e doesn't bother me when people drink around me. However have a friend coming to spend weekend with me in a few weeks and really don't want her drinking in the house...I know she will be cool about it but just wondered how other 'giver uppers' deal with other people drinking in their houses.

Also wondering what to do for my birthday. Last year was dreadful, I was probably at one of my lowest points. Sent my son to stay with my mum and drank myself into oblivion behind pulled curtains for a few days....so want this year to celebrate my AFness. I will give it some thought.

    Hello!

Sparkles: Well done on excercise :j

Thank you I did find the dog. As soon as BF got here I headed out and was really lucky to spot him. So from now on he is not to be let out into the garden unless in long leash.

I have been running.gif and it was really great. We were running around the park and to do 3 miles I needed to go around 12 times. And I am pleased to declare that I did run all of it apart from couple of hundred yards after stopping for water on my 8th lap. I am so pleased as I haven't been able to run for two weeks due to being ill and even today I was running with the aid of nose drops to help me unblock my nose. Couple of other runners had noticed that I ran the whole distance and came to congratulate in the end and that was really nice of them. So thankyou.gif so much all of you who sponsored me.

Declaring 21 for me please Shaggy

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Morning everyone!

Marru - Well done to you!!:T:T Hope you don't ache too much today!

    Pink Princess - welcome!

Sparkles - good luck with the exercising...I was exhausted just reading it!:rotfl:

Woke up with stinking head today. Very unusual for me - don't get a lot of headaches. Perhaps too long in bed. So will try and get out in fresh air in garden this morning.

Four day week for me this week!:T Off for a 3 night break on Friday - holiday with the sun tokens thingummy. Only in a caravan by the coast but likely to be our only break this year so looking forward to it. We've upgraded the caravan so its a nice one. Piglet excited at the prospect of going swimming every day! He's even sorted out his Mr Men swim shorts ready...bless!:D

Piglet also really getting into his gardening. We went to The Range on Saturday and he insisted on buying himself a strawberry plant. He also rushes to see the seedlings of a morning to see how they're doing. Have to admit though, even I got excited to see my Aubergine seedlings had come through!:o

Anyway, must away. lots to do!

    to everyone!
