Well done new me, you're making a great start. I found being honest on here really helpful because apart from OH I wouldn't want to discuss my drinking with friends.

I've had another AFD so that's 18/16. I plan to drink tomorrow night and put in another AFD on Saturday.

Lots of nice posts last night - I could have written many of them - if there's alcohol in the house I have always drank some, it calls to me like some folks here choklit etc and if I've had a night out I want more when home.

Morning to all of you when you're about How's everyone today? Friday is usually a bad day for me - so I'm going to be extra diligent today.

I've started having a coffee and some kind of snack before I leave work at the moment - and that's helping me to go directly home and not via the shops where the wine is. I'm distracting myself with food, reading, phoning chums when I feel a bit lonely, having a 'lie down' or a flop when I'm in and tired and stuff like that!

Just goes to show this HALT (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired) stuff is pretty powerful stuff.

My solution to angry (I was livid last night both of DD's best pals were horrid to DD last night) it to rant on the phone to a close pal it would seem, using french alot. whooops

Miss P I meant to say what a lovely post - very like springwatch girl - maybe we need to keep quoting your post as well!

She who is never ill is........in bed with the worst cold in the whole wide world. My first one in years for which in the midst of my self pity I am thankful.

Silver lining - don't fancy a drink! Can't taste anything so no point in a glass of wine & my head is quite fuzzy enough already. Typically, OH said I should have a hot toddy (this was last night, not for breakfast) his bizarre logic being that as I can't stand whisky this would be the time to have one.

Well done jo - I'm on a whole 7 days as of tonight (remind me of that later if I begin to cave.)

No field for me today - had to swing via the field ot get my phone tis am - man its cold up there - sideways snow (which I have to say is preferable to sideways rain)
