I have to come clean and say that I am still on 11 AF days not 12 days like I had planned. I had an emotional setback the other day and my comfort has of course been to fall back on alcohol. I am hoping to be back to being AF on Monday.
I hope everyone is okay.:A It's nice to have a shiny new thread.:)HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Fay and Jo thankyou for your kind words :A
I know that you are stronger and better than what ultimately lies in the bottom of a bottle. As this is the case for us all on here. You have proved before how well you have done. But as I have also found after doing well. that in the end we have to address what problems first lead us to drinking to excess?
I think I need to log off now as I am in such an emotional mood today. (Without any alcohol I hasten to add).
A guy I sold an house to a couple of years ago popped into see me today, bless him he said that he had been worried about me as I had not been looking well. I asked him if I was not now looking better? (I am feeling better). He replied a little but I still did not have my sparkly smile.
I have been feeling more clamer though, but I am in the process of looking at my life, and as Graeme has previously said to us all, it is about changing oneself.
But I have just dug out my Oasis songs, my husband bought me: "Whats The Story Morning Glory" for my birthday when it was released. I used to play it over and over.
And then this song:

I so loved this video when it was released, I remember sitting with my Darling Son and watching it with him. I told him at the time that you always need to look at the whole picture, as things are not always as they seem.
And for many it is true that things are not always as they seem. There are alot of people suffering and in pain, not knowing who they can turn to for help?
So it is true that we all need to have someone to:
"STAND BY ME"

And also:
"DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER"

The past is what has already been, and this we are unable to change. But we can change the future that is still yet to be ........................
You will all probably be very relieved to know that I am going now to peel my own onion
(In case you are wondering? To find your true self, you need to uncover all of your many layers, which is like peeling an onion, there are many layers that need to be uncovered, some will be good and some will be bad, but ultimately in the end you get to reveal your true self) :A

Ps Dear Lurky mate, thanks for the new thread  oh and of course I didn't think you were ignoring me((Love ya)) xxxxxxxxx
ETA Jo, My volunteering went ok thanks, at first it was a bit iffy. But in the end it was ok, I am going in for a couple of weeks to meet the people and then I am starting up a relaxation group  They already have a poster advertising it but with no one to do it. One guy asked if I was going to do Anger Mangagement as well, (I side stepped that) he also asked me what was my course content? Well considering I had only just decided to do this, I really did not have the answer. So managed to skip around it by saying we were running it past the powers that be. Also I need to have guidance as these are people with mental health issues. (I need to know what they are able to cope with?) But I am up for the challenge and I am a good people person so hopefully it will all be fine. I am currently looking at some ideas?
Hugs hunny and lots of love as always my friend. :A (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

JO, I feel for you - your posts are so close to the bone. I don't feel 'I have anything useful to say but I am with you all the way.
GC thank you for your posts -they are always so insightful.
Me I have been consistently half pished every night - I have completely lost it. really, I lost the one day at a time and it became a week lost on the trot.
Goodness I will get it together but I am really struggling. JUst needing the feeling of being tiddley.
too late tonight, tomorrow is Sunday, always a sober night so I am starting again then.
have fun. 'big sigh here we are again' smileyTrying to keep in budget.

I have been almost in tears reading all the posts since yesterday. Especially thanks go to Jo and Budgie.
Budgie:
DB: I second everything that people have said, especially maman - be kind to yourself!!!
Lurks: Thank you for the new shiny thread!!!
Waves to everyone else :hello:
I have found new addiction. I really wanted to go for a run today but don't want to overdo it and then because of that stopping. I have had much more energy and that has gone to moving furniture and book boxes. I made my rodent (guinea pigs) room into a study and that is for studying only. So only distraction there will be the chatter of my piggies. Lovely!!!
I can confirm 23 today for me please.
ETA: All you washingmachineless people, have a look into your local freecycle - you never know there just might be a washing machine looking for a new home. Even just to tie you over."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Gien this is my problem, I get loads of AF days under my belt then just one drinking day will turn into a week/s, it's amazing I can be AF for say 21 days, drink for one, then never imagine what it feels like to be sober just for one day *confused*
Good luck for tomorrow xDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0
