Didn't achieve a MAD last night, real life got too much and I didn't bother to be strong.

Sounds like - me at the mo.............I didn't drink til late (again) when I shoudl have gone to bed - but I didn't want to go to bed - so I'm needing to change what I do at late o' clock. I am a bit down at the mo and feeling so far away from family, angry at life and sad at the same time.

    Classic triggers eh?

Talking to myself this morning sternly has helped and I did however tip the rest of the bottle down the sink this morning and said to myself enough is enough.

Morning all - getting sorted at work to leave so I can go away at lunchtime today and get sorted at home - having a day off - split between two days IYSWIM

Shaggy me dear I'm still on 1................will up that to two tonight.....

PS still no stripes - :(

Was a bit frosty yesterday after handing my notice in *rolleyes*

I wondered why you didn't 'talk' to me last night. You're going through a lot at the moment so it's understandable. But today you're going to really going to go MAD at the organising and the drinking!!!

Hope work is bearable for the next few weeks Jo. It's disappointing that everyone should be frosty. I can understand sad at losing you but they should understand you going for a promotion. Too many support staff are paid peanuts so it's no wonder they can't hang on to them. IMO schools take advantage of the 'mums' army' of people who want to work school hours. Anyway, don't let it drive you to drink:D

Sorry about soap box. Hope everyone is having a good day, spring-like here again.

    Afternoon all

    How are we all?

Fay - hope you are feeling more positive today. Somedays it all gets too much and then the next day things seem completely different.

Jo - don't let work get to you. Just think about the great new job you'll be going to. ((hugs))

Funny day here. Piglet and I didn't wake up till 9.15 this morning! AND I went to bed early as was feeling a bit carp (bug still lingering from weekend I think). So this morning just seemed to fly by. And now he's safely packed off to nursery and I'm going to sit with a coffee and read a book. Feel a bit shattered (despite the sleep!) as I seem to be dreaming constantly all night lately - really vivid dreams too. Wonder whats causing that??? **shrugs**

Having a really bad day here....my closest colleague's husband passed away earlier today, he had cirrosis of the liver and knew it was terminal. They rung her at work to say it was iminent and off she went to him. She rang me half hour later to say he'd gone :(

Jo OMG hugs to your friend - horrible thing to happen xx

Maman - sorry - last night I think it all got a bit much for me - OH broke down a bit on the phone - I just switched into shutdown mode myself.

Been off since lunchtime - went to the new house and counted lightbulbs and also measured up for the green netting fence (I need over 150m to go around the perimeter of the garden) Managed to get 50m here in Orkney today - which saves me a job south trying to find some and get it home.

Now I am still looking for the elusive Iphone sim card which is still in a SAFE (sighs) place - so I am blitzing the house whilst trying to find the fing thing

They sent me a new phone :)

Hope everyone is good - I'm packing socks up tonight in a bid for good sim card karma

It will appear the minute I ring O2 and ask for a new one..........

    Hello again,

Fay: Try sitting down, relax, close your eyes and try to "see" where the sim is try override your sensible you trying to tell you where it should be. Works for me 9 times out of ten.

Had my run, have ordered ridiculously expensive running watch. Don't know how to tell BF about my splurge :o ok it is money I have been squirelling away.

Am behind with my studies due not being able to concentrate yesterday so I will go MAD in the bath tonight with my text book. Should build arm muscles as they are rather heavy. :rotfl:So that is 4 please Shaggy.

    UM the words

'Oh I got a really good bargain on ebay and got cashback' spring to mind then - :rotfl:

If you then show him the watch and don't generalise about WHICH bargain you got on ebay and when

YOu've not really told a fib - if he misinterpets it as the watch being from ebay - then that would be just something to let slip past!
