Meh - beats wind and rain I suppose - don't normally get snow or frosts in our mild climate - just wind and rain - lots of that.

    Morning!

  • Morning everyone. Just checking in to report another MAD day please Shaggy; that's 2/10
I found it a bit more difficult yesterday and wasn't sure what to substitute for the booze. Could I ask what you all drink during the evening so I can stock up? I'm not really a pop person and endless tea is a bit boring.

    Vimto. Everybody LOVES Vimto :)

(you may need to do a search on this and the previous thread for the word 'vimto') ;)

  • Tea, water, juice (squash and fizzy water) or just plain water.

Also Hot chocolate is favoured by many

I like the 'presse' things in a wine glass - delish!

Try not to think of using something to 'substitute' drink with.
    I have 'alternatives', not 'substitutes'

I used to tell myself I drank because I liked the taste. I like coke, but don't want to drink 12 pints of the stuff!!

Now I drink lime cordial and sparkling water in the evenings, and sometimes ginger ale. Ribena (full sugar version) my daytime drink

I never touch non-alcoholic wines or beers - I do not want to get used to drinking something that tastes of beer, and then run out of it, because I could have a real beer. I do not drink any more - thus I have no need to 'get the taste' of alcoholic drinks

No need, I remember Vimto. I used to love it but haven't had it for years. I had a Purple Ronnie tshirt :o! I wonder if they do a low cal version? I'll have to look. Thanks Lurkio.
