  • A man left the following note on the dining room table for his wife:
    Dear Wife,
You will surely understand that I have
certain needs that you with your 54 year old
body can no longer supply. However, I am
very happy with you and I value you as a
good wife. Therefore, after reading this
letter, I hope that you will not wrongly
interpret the fact I will be spending the
evening with my 18-year-old secretary at the
Comfort Inn Hotel. Please don’t be
perturbed, I shall be back home before
    midnight.
When the man came home, he found the following letter on the dining room table:
    Dear Husband,
I received your letter and thank you for
your honesty. I would like to take this
opportunity to remind you that you are also
54 years old. At the same time, I would like
to inform you that while you are reading
this, I will be at the Hotel Fiesta with
Michael, my tennis coach, who, like your
secretary, is also 18. As a successful
    businessman, and with your excellent
knowledge of maths, you will understand that
we are in the same situation, although with
    one small difference:
18 goes into 54 a lot more times than 54
goes into 18. Therefore, I will not be back
    until lunchtime tomorrow.

Off to bed, i've been MAD alone tonight so that's 1/15 for me please Ms Shaggy. (Done my head in finding out you're not a bloke but remember the last time we did this there were quite a few surprises!) Bit of a wobble but ok now. Tired though after my session last night. But last year I'd have been drinking again today to feel better from my hangover so this is an improvement.

Thanks for the laughs on here tonight, and the website on addiction.

    Sleep well everyone.

I am mega fedup tonight for some reason, don't know why as felt good yesterday. A bit up and down for who knows why?

Anyway I am MADDing away with no problems and off to have an early night with a cup of hot chocolate and a book

    MAD AFD 2

As long as yo have had a MAD day, you can say that it is a successful day. Sometimes (when things are tough in life) getting my head on the pillow at night without a drink is a cause for relief and happiness.

I know for me, I would get angry and fed up and wouldn't be able to pinpoint the cause of it. I now know that my alcoholism wanted me to have a drink when I felt like that, as it would have been 'justified'
All I do now is get to bed without a drink, and chances are I won't feel like that after a nights sleep

    evening everyone

2nd AF day for me please Shaggy - off to bed once one born every minute is over - anyone else watching? Making me v. broody - but don't tell DH!

    I x

Just watched it on recorder. It's filmed at our local maternity hospital. I find myself doing all the breathing with them which OH thinks is hilarious. But broody, definitely not.

:Tto everyone who's had a MAD evening.

I was going MAD at the football tonight and I almost came home and celebrated with a bottle of wine. BUT I didn't!

    2 AF please Shaggy
