Well done paybacktime, you should be really proud of yourself, you're doing great!!
I'm AL&T of HALT today, managed to turn down an invite to the pub after work as wasn't sure I could stay strong and have Diet Coke.
Really tired now.0 -

I'm rather excited. Have just booked up a surprise for my mum's 70th. Me and ds are taking her to London for the day, afternoon tea at Fortnum and Masons and then a mosey around the Tate. She said she hadn't wanted a present but to be taken out for dinner but I think she'll enjoy this more. Being AF (and skint) was a good excuse not to go for the champagne option!
Ds doesn't know it yet but he's paying..er I mean...I'll be borrowing the cash from his savings account to pay. I keep telling myself it all evens out in the end.
4 months sober for me today..I hope you don't mind but I'm not counting xmas day.
Wonder if I'll ever drink again? Seems silly to really.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -

Wow, thanks to Shaggy for being the next scorer. I thought I'd missed that pages ago, didn't realise we still needed one.
Fay, thanks for you fab and funky spreadsheet and all your encouragement this month. You've been brill.
So far I'm still AF although OH had opened a bottle of wine. But I won't drink today because I drank yesterday. The bells sound as loud as a foghorn tonight. Ho hum, off to see if there's any telly to watch.0 -
This month I've enjoyed hearing how you all FAFF - I've even started to think to myself 'How will I be faffing tonight........',
I am thinking about HALT and make sure I'm well fed/drunk and I will drink a cuppa before I venture home.
Remember a Friday night faff - is like a roll over weekend - you'll so much feel the benefit of it on Saturday morning when you can enjoy your time off
How strange? Just same as how I have been thinking this month!
Especially the make sure I am not thirsty and hungry alongside the angry and lonely parts and if I am not thirsty and hungry the A and L parts are not so bad and don't cause the same intense triggers as before
I can now see how HALT applies to so many people (including myself) and how much I can now see the benefit on a Sat and Sun morning waking up with no alcohol in the system to cause any after effects
Still weighing up the MARCH aim - the full monty of 31 or allow myself 2 days to possibly have a drink and go for 29?
A big thanks to Fay for all the encouragement and effort in the months scoring :Aand another one to Shaggy for offering to score for this month :A
Well tonight am FAFFing after my last ready meal curry from the freezer (no more to be bought or feel tempted with :rotfl:) ready to watch the big game tonight between Wales and France after the ice skating finishes in a moment with some white grape juice rubbish from Mr T's and a Wispa!
I tried what someone else on here suggested - and have been drinking some fizzy fruit juice and water mixes in a wine glass and haven't missed the alcohol at all as a result.
Will be continuing with this for a while longer while I get used to not drinking at the weekend and it is nice to treat myself to a bottle of fizzy fruit AF mix at the supermarket on a Friday and feel a little smug about my AFness on the weekend while everyone else at work goes on about getting hammered at the weekend.
Funny though how I think 'oh know I'm not spending £2 on a bottle of Schloer' and then later on think 'How stupid am I? I used to spend £8 on a bottle of wine!'
Anyway after all that rambling it is time to declare 24 AFD for today and to say come on all FAFFer's (and enjoy the rugby!)final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
The T in HALT is usually tired, not thirsty, but I guess that both apply
Remember HALT are common triggers, but there are other triggers too (bored, happy, peer pressure, etc)
Be sure not to concentrate on HALT only. We drink for many reasons0
