Hugeroonis HB ((())) I have no advice re the damp but hope it gets sorted :) x

I am having a carp time, had baliffs knocking yesterday apparently, didn't find out till I got a baliff visit order from the local court through the post this morning.

It's a debt that I don't remember owning (though I know I did), I thought all my baliff visit/calls/letter days were finished now :(

Congratulations on your week, Caz :)

The walls no longer like a breeding ground for strange furry things. Have no bicarb so it will have to be a step at a time. The carpet is beyond saving with bleach - need Stardrops!

No insurance cover so will have to work out how I can afford a new bookcase/shelving unit & chest of drawers or similar for clothes. Also need to get rotten mouldy ones out of flat & find some vaguely orderly way of keeping the books & clothes that aren't damaged.

Needless to say I do not have insurance for this... *sigh*

Oh Jo, what a nightmare! *hugs*

Are you sure you definitely still owe it? Can it be statute barred or anything like that?

I'm sure it's condensation from excessive heating due to the cold & drying washing etc. I will let my landlord know as a courtesy thing & also to point out that the ventilation in there isn't much good & the whole heating system is pants, but that's about it.

Have realised I will have to tell my landlord as this currently means I can't get any decent heat into the bedroom & will need to sleep with hot water bottle so I don't freeze :(

I know it's not as bad as bailiffs or the myriad of other problems people have on here on in life in general. I just feel it's been a really pants year so far. I truly thought I was turning a corner with stuff, most especially with my AF resolutions, & I know just feel slapped in the face & kicked in the teeth & firmly squashed down.

I don't want to be in my bedroom cos it's there & ugly etc etc. I don't really want to be in the lounge/kitchen as it's freezing & I'm only just getting over checking compulsively for mice (seem to have gone, btw). This only leaves the bathroom & I can't live in the bath!

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

Thank god for you lot is all I can say :A

I've no idea, I used to spend money willy nilly (cue WB...) and it was passed from 'solicitor' to 'solicitor' then DCAs in abundance. Got no idea *confused*

I'm not 'that' worried. I do owe the money, I did spend it (though have no idea on what) and I have no probs speaking to DCAs and making instalment plans etc but I don't want baliffs knocking on the door :(:(:(

OH is out tonight, DD1 is babysitting for OH's kids so they can go out, so I'm home alone with the 2 small'ens and worried that some one is gonna come knocking :(

OH said he'd pay for pizza as it was an impromptu night out and although I did order it, I didn't want to incase the knock at the door wasn't the pizza man but a baliff :(

    V. v. p1ssed off :(

    Can you tell ???
