What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Morning Shaggy, Fay and everyone,

Posting and running again, hope you're all doing well. Still haven't caught up on what's been going on here.

I'm up to 14/14 as of last night so AFDs 17, 19, 21 & 23. Going for another one tonight as I'm going out tomorrow. I'm feeling tired but sleeping better. I'm really pleased with the number of days I'm hitting now compared with last year. It's only some days I briefly think I'd like to drink today but then quite quickly I can persuade myself not to as I drank the day before. Last year I was almost always drinking the next day even while very hungover so I feel I've made some progress.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • :) morning all and a big WHOOP WHOOP to WBF :) 14/14 well done!!!!

Off to have a cuppa and catch up........

    Hi all

Am a big pile of fedupness over here. Bear Towers is now suffering from damp. :(

I suspect it's some sort of ghostly revenge by the mice :rotfl:

Anyway, it doesn't seem to serious though I need to mount a full investigation when I get home. Will do lots of research pnline later but in the meantime does anyone have any tips for dealing with it?

Dehumidifier? Or is it not that serious? Maybe if you borrow one and run it for 24hours you'll see how much 'damp' you've got in the air.

Where you got it and whats it like - on the walls? If there you can use a wash of watered down bleach, then follow it by a wash of bi-carb - then rinse it

If its spoiled paintwork - do all of that then brush over with some PVA which will seal it and you can paint over that.

If its got to clothes/bedding - try washign them first with a strongish detergent and if it doesnt shift it - you can try a solution of thinned bleach on whites etc - on coloured stuff I think I've used vinegar - but my first port of call would be a strong biological washing powder.

Poor you honey - I'm sure the mice didn't mean to leave the damp.........
