    No, hold on a minute.

Your theory may have a problem Fay.......if the egg came first, where does it grow and hatch from?
DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!
  • Good morning all.

Thanks for the hugs and wishes. :) You are a thoughtful bunch. DS2 did turn up just after 1:30.He is 16 Shaggy and at a stage where he resents having to tell me what he is up to! He was due home at 1 twice this week and I went to sleep and woke up at 4:30 to find he wasnt home! That's why I decided to stay up last night and wait. We had snow here last night so that worried me too.

It is bright and sunny this morning but still a fair bit of snow here. DS1
has his first driving lesson at 12.

Anyone got snow where they are?

It is born from the non-chicken bird - which lays it - the egg is a genetic mutation (ie enough to be a new species)

And is hatched by its mum as it doesnt yet know it is the mother of a chicken - she just thinks she has an odd looking baby bird which doesn't look much like her

Or shes been naughty and been off with a birdie which isnt in her own species and the egg is the offspring of some exotic one night stand between species

Ie like a ligon (hybrid lion and tiger) or someat like that

what a naughty mummy with her exotic exploits

  • Not sure I want to ask this! But Fay are you saying that the bird which laid the chicken egg was not itself what we know as a chicken? I can kind of get that and then it mutates etc etc. But still puzzled about the first egg and its mummy - whatever kind of being that mummy was!
  • I'm stopping now - sorry - Jo you're right - run away

This is actually the cutting down thread!

OK so I'll do a list later on - and lets here about your faffing for friday those of you that are

Remember we're almost there - 9 days to go in the month!

    Well done everyone :)

Whether giving up, cutting down or just lurking - I hope you're good.

Yup - exactly that - that's how new species arrive - according to Darwin (the bloke NOT my campervan) new species are normally mutations of other species which develop into full new species over time - some survive and some die

The first egg born as a chicken I think won't have been from a chicken but another type of bird

And wasnt the first egg mummy a dinosaur bird thing?

    Archaopertis? Or something.

And the first dinosaur/walking thing from some kind of fish - which also lays eggs - that crawled out onto land.

Basically we're all made from mud anyway

If you've ever been in my house - people run away when folks ask about anything biology based :D

I hope you're good today - I'm aiming for an AF weekend - its my stumbling block as even though I've cut down I find the weekends difficult
